Properly Imposed Death Sentences.

Surveys showed more than 80% of Singaporeans believing that their country should retain the death penalty in 2021. 

Having one of the lowest murder rates and lowest rates of drug importing on the planet - the sentencing has had a remarkable record of demonstrable deterrence.
For murder, only in exceptional situations is a reprieve ever likely.

Fear of punishment and certainty of its implementation form a hugely successful combination. Well done Singapore - by avoiding trendy liberalism, you have made your streets incredibly safe for your diverse citizenry.

Blogger: I have always been troubled by those who would defend murderers but seemingly care precious little for the victims whose lives may well have been saved with a degree of Singaporean toughness in our own society.
