Twaddle.

 John McDonnell MP

Former shadow chancellor and editor of Economics for the Many (Verso)
"There are 14.5 million people in poverty in Britain." Guardian.
Blogger: many are suffering, to one degree or another, because of inflation - probably far more than the figure mentioned above - but as this reference is to 'relative poverty' - I repeat that this is twaddle.
Relative poverty means comparing incomes and anywhere below a certain line which has been drawn is deemed to be 'living in [relative] poverty.
So if 90% of the population are on salaries of £100k plus at today's price levels but you are only on £90k with the same purchasing power as today - you are deemed to be in poverty!
Just how ridiculous is 'relative poverty' as a concept.
It all depends on where (usually a leftist) has drawn a line and made a declaration designed to rabble rouse.

Donald Trump's Promises.

WOW!              (Compare to our feeble, insipid PM.)
