Christians are at a disadvantage in public life as their faith is now unfashionable, a Tory MP has claimed.
Danny Kruger said it is damaging to society that the religion of contemporary culture is 'liberal individualism', which values the freedom to do as one pleases above all else.
And he fears that his devout belief in Christianity, which has seen him attacked over his opposition to abortion, may hold him back in his political career.
He made his forthright comments ahead of a new TV show in which he and his mother – Great British Bake Off star Prue Leith – clash over the legalisation of assisted suicide.
