Dangerous driver sobs as she is jailed for killing motorcyclist days before his wedding
Chloe Ferry "has no intention of ever driving again".
Chloe Ferry made a "catastrophic" decision that killed a man
A woman who killed an oncoming motorcyclist and seriously injured his passenger days before their wedding has been jailed for two years 4 months.
Chloe Ferry made the "catastrophic" decision to pull out and overtake the car in front while travelling along a country road.
Blogger: Out in a year as best guess in these days of meaningless sentencing? Mind you - she is a female. Odds that she'd be jailed at all weren't particularly high.
(Do remember, only 4% of our current prison population is female. A considerable number of women are not jailed for offences for which a man would rightly and automatically be incarcerated. How come this is not classed as sexism, huh?)
In 2002 (?) with four witnesses in my car - including a former police officer - I once saw a woman of similar age nearly kill everyone in an approaching car after overtaking me into a blind bend in the Pennines. When she later pulled into a car park, I spoke to her.
We reported her for dangerous driving but she was not prosecuted. - Mind you, as she was quite pretty - I suppose justice was done! Grrrr!
