In a modern world in which preachers only ever mention: sin in passing; Hell - somewhere between seldom and never; and the Justice of the Lord as opposed to His love - not at all, how can we teach the masses that they need Salvation?
If we pretend that 'all will be well because of Calvary' - how do people ever learn the need for repentance? (And BTW - how often do you hear that word in modern churches?)
We are offering a heavily sanitised Gospel which guarantees that far more people will end up in Hell.
