Blogger: The Americans use polygraphs to ascertain whether or not a suspect or POI is worth pursuing. With a roughly 98+% accuracy in the hands of experts - they must be of considerable assistance to police.
Naturally, these results or not usable in courts - but sadly, it is my understanding that accused people who refuse the test cannot have this fact used against them by the prosecutors.
So. It may not mean all that much, but offering a professional polygraph test to Lucy Letby might be a way forward, as a first step, after her option to appeal the verdict was rapidly denied.
There must be an appeal!
