For a deafblind child, it's not possible to simply read a book about space, or watch ocean creatures on the TV. These things often aren't accessible. So instead, we might use twinkly lights in a darkened room to teach them about the universe, or bubbles and squishy toys to represent deep sea diving. Our centres also run forest school sessions, where children run their hands over rough bark, and breathe in the earthy smells of nature. All of this can only happen thanks to you, our generous supporters. With your help, we can bring the world to life for children who are so often excluded from its wonders. Will you give deafblind children a gift that opens up their world? Thank you so much for everything you do to support disabled children. All the best, David Sense |
