Voice of Persecuted Christians’ partner in India exists to protect and serve the Christian community in that country.
Our partner’s wide-ranging support for Christians includes—increasingly—providing legal fees for those being persecuted nationwide.
Pray for congregations unable to meet together due to the impact of anti-conversion laws. Pray that believers would continue to grow in their faith.
Pray for great wisdom for our partner’s affiliated pastors who seek to train colleagues and their congregations in how to remain safe in times of difficulty and need. Pray that Christians will know God’s grace to remain courageous.
Pray that proposed legislation, which would give additional powers to the body that monitors foreign funding, would not be passed. It would enable the Indian government not only to block NGOs from receiving foreign support, but also to take control over them and seize, sell or redistribute their land, buildings and other assets. See below.
Pray for pastors and other believers who are under tremendous pressure due to constant threats of violence. Pray for strength, courage and God’s protection.
Pray that our partner would have sufficient support to meet the increasing need for legal aid for those facing opposition throughout India.
