Self explanatory title. I abhor that nicey nicey, politically correct, pseudo-Christianity which almost always supports leftwing attitudes - which in most cases are profoundly anti-Gospel. This Blog supports persecuted Christians. This Blog exposes cults. This Blog opposes junk science. UPDATED DAILY. This is not a forum. This Blog supports truly Christian websites and aids their efforts. It is hardhitting and unashamedly evangelical so if it offends - please do not come to this site!

As ever ...

N. Korea: naked evil. Prayer badly needed.
Release, which supports persecuted Christians worldwide, is calling on churches across the UK to pray and sign a petition urging North Korea to permit freedom of worship. ‘In North Korea, if there is one Christian in a family, then that family is all dead’, said Sung, who could only watch from a distance as North Korean guards beat and killed his mother and brother at the border. ‘Life in North Korea is just about survival,’ he continued. ‘There is no freedom to speak and no religion to believe. When I started to see so many people dying [from starvation], that's when I began to question about our government.’ Sung later managed to escape to the South and became a pastor – obeying his mother’s last wish shortly before she was murdered. North Korea is one of the most hostile environments on earth for Christians. The Government ideology Juche, or Self-reliance, is effectively a state religion. It has its own hymnbook of 600 songs venerating Kim Jong-il, ‘the Dear Leader’ and his father Kim-Il-sung, ‘the Great Leader’. North Koreans are obliged to display their portraits in their homes. Having any other faith is seen to be subversive. (Source: Release.)
Kennedy: dangerous liaisons
My detestation of the sickening Kennedy clan and my dismay at the overrating of JFK as a president and leader is well known on this Blog. In the Channel 5 programme 'JFK - The Scandals Revealed' we see how dangerous his sexual addiction proved to be. FIVE of his paramours were dangers to national security: 4 had direct communist connection; one had Nazi links and two had mafia connections. All moral considerations apart, this recklessness showed that his passions and predilections were socially dangerous. It has even been suggested that 'an assassin's bullet saved his reputation' - which with the mafia connections alone and these probably on the point of being revealed - is probably true!

Prayer request.
Please pray for Stephen Fry, Ed Balls, The BHA, The Green Party, Labour, Lib Dems and the BNP. Website junkies should really pray for the tory party too!
Misery guts awards.
When in sixth form, I had to study Thomas Hardy and
DH Lawrence.
Last night I finished watching BBC 4's rendering of Lawrence's The Rainbow/ Women in Love. Oh how tedious it all was. How ill chosen were our 'A'Level literature texts. Lawrence was a self-obsessed, pretentious narcissist who presented his rambling introspection as serious writing. I have read most of his works and all are as annoying as each other.
As for Tommy Hardy - I know he had problems in his life (who doesn't?) - but how can he possibly be such a pessimistic nihilist?I really must stop reading authors like these and watching their outpourings in TV dramas!
Edith Cavell.
"Standing, as I do, in the view of God and eternity I realize that patriotism is not enough." Edith Cavell.
The latter part of this quotation is often misappropriated to attack patriotism when clearly that is far from the intention. In this, it is like the misuse of "Patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel" (See earlier posting on the topic) which also does not attack patriotism in any way.

Most perceptive.
MAX HASTINGS: A nation divided... Britain is no longer split by class. Instead the social chasm is between taxpayers and the public sector.
Koran-burning, mental midget responsible for 12 UN deaths!
'The 59-year-old Pastor Terry Jones runs the Dove World Outreach Centre in Gainsville, Florida, whose congregation numbers just a few dozen. The church is based in a 20-acre compound where Jones lives with his wife, Sylvia, and is said to regularly patrol the grounds with a pistol strapped to his hip.' [Telegraph.] I do hope he sleeps well for the rest of his life!
No berk, he!
Michael Buerk has launched a withering assault on the BBC’s ‘creed of political correctness’. The veteran presenter accuses staff at the Corporation of an inbuilt ‘institutional bias’ and warns that they read the left-wing Guardian newspaper as if it is ‘their Bible’. Reviewing a memoir by his former colleague Peter Sissons, Buerk endorses his view that the BBC is warped by the prejudices of its staff. Birds of a feather: Reviewing a memoir by his former colleague Peter Sissons (left), Michael Buerk endorses his view that the BBC is warped by the prejudices of its staff in a scathing attack on the corporation He says fellow reporters have ‘contempt’ for business and the countryside – and that a left-wing culture means the national broadcaster has been cast ‘adrift of the overriding national sentiment’ on issues such as climate change. Criticism from such a well-known figure is likely to unsettle his bosses. Buerk, who presents Radio 4’s Moral Maze, is one of the most respected broadcasters of his generation. YP. BRILLIANT!!!
From: Robert Bottamley, Thorn Road, Hedon, East Yorkshire. YOU reported concerns (Yorkshire Post, March 21) by the British Humanist Association regarding the 2011 Census; specifically, that the section relating to religious beliefs might produce “misleading results”. Readers will recall how the BHA sought to influence the content of the relevant section of the survey: having failed, the organisation’s chief executive, Andrew Copson, urged “people who do not want to give continuing or even greater importance to unshared religions in our public life to tick ‘No Religion’ in the census”. What honest error leads the chief executive of the BHA to conclude that no one who believes in God should have their wishes considered by society – even though, like him, they pay their taxes? But never mind. To avoid precisely the kind of confusion Andrew Copson warns against, I recommend that the following two options be added to any future census: (i) British Humanist Association or (ii) No British Humanist Association. The response could then be used in just the same way Mr Copson considers appropriate for religious organisations to indicate whether or not people wish to give the BHA “a continuing or even greater importance in our public life” – though I suspect that if the results didn’t favour the organisation he represents, he would dismiss them as misleading.
Knowing the truth would halve abortions!
Launch of Right to Know Campaign – Action Alert. Nadine Dorries MP and Rt Hon. Frank Field MP have laid an amendment to the Health and Social Care Bill that will guarantee that women considering abortion have access to independent information and advice. Crucially, private abortion providers will be barred from providing the counselling. It is likely that when women have access to better information, fewer will choose to proceed to abortion. We ask you to support the Right to Know campaign that has been launched to encourage public support for the amendment. Most women who have an abortion haven'ta clue what it actually consists of and signifies. Source: Christian Concern.
Cameron worse than Blair!!!
David Cameron is more dogmatically in favour of political correctness than his hero Tony Blair. Julian Mann states that this is 'manifest from his public support for a judicial decision that brands traditional biblical teaching on sexual ethics - believed by many millions of Christians around the world including the Pope - to be an ideological disease from which children must be protected by the State.' Yes. Yes. Yes!
Coconut is 'fully earned'.

'A number of schools have banned Christians from handing out Bibles to avoid angering other faiths. The Gideons have become famed for handing out signature red Bibles to young children during school assemblies. But they have been told to stay away from some classes because it may spark complaints from different faiths. Abbot Beyne School and Paget High School near Burton On Trent in Staffordshire have made the controversial ban.' [Mail] They have fully earned their LoonyTunesWatch coconut. The sort of people I meet from other religions are acutely embarrassed by such heavy-handed idiocy.
Evidence of justice in Bangladesh.
'A judge this week exonerated a Christian sentenced to one year in prison for selling and distributing Christian literature near a major Muslim gathering north of this capital city, his lawyer said. After reviewing an appeal of the case of 25-year-old Biplob Marandi, the magistrate in Gazipur district court on Tuesday cleared the tribal Christian of the charge against him and ordered him to be released, attorney Lensen Swapon Gomes told Compass. Marandi was selling Christian books and other literature when he was arrested near the massive Bishwa Ijtema (World Muslim Congregation) on the banks of the Turag River near Tongi town on Jan. 21. On Feb. 28 he was sentenced for “creating chaos at a religious gathering” by selling and distributing the Christian literature.' Luvvies and celebs.
Apparently, hordes of the rich and famous are lining up to support AV. If anything will force me vote against it - then that will be it! Those 'head-in-the-clouds' types are invariably wrong whenever they make political pronouncements!
Well worth a look.

Perjury.
It is one more disaster in this decrepit and failing legal system of ours - that perjurors prosper. As a JP for ten years I saw a huge number of people who lied under oath and who should therefore have received a hefty prison term - then have their brazen lies ignored by the system.
This makes perjury the attractive option and is both morally and practically, indefensible.
Fred Dinenage and the Krays.
Fred Dinenage's TV programme on the Krays was disturbing. As a followup to his book on the aforementioned gangsters, he interviewed a selection of other thugs who had been their henchmen back in the 60s. Fine, as far as it went BUT - he gave them a platform to demonstrate their wretched thoughts and opinions - and only one seemed to be showing anything resembling remorse. The programme should NOT have been shown in that form as it went some way towards glamourising social low lifes. I must also say that Mr Dinenage seemed to have enjoyed his meetings with Reggie and Ronnie a little too much for my liking.
