"Peter, Do You Love Me?" - Why Three Times?
There is an interesting contrast when you look at the Greek words for
“love” used in John
21:15–17. When Jesus asked Peter, “Do you love me?” in John
21:15–16, He used the Greek word agape, which refers to unconditional love. Both times, Peter responded with
“Yes, Lord; you know that I love you,” using the Greek word phileo, which refers more to a brotherly/friendship type of love. It seems that
Jesus is trying to get Peter to understand that he must love Jesus
unconditionally in order to be the leader God is calling him to be. The third
time Jesus asks, “Do you love me?” in John
21:17,
He uses the word phileo,
and Peter again responds with “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love
you,” again using phileo.
The point in the different Greek words for “love” seems to be that Jesus was
stretching Peter to move him from phileo love to agape love.
Whatever the reason for the three-fold “do you love me?” question, Jesus was impressing on Peter how important his new role of tending the flock of Christ’s followers would be. When someone repeats instructions to us over and over, we quickly understand that it’s extremely important for us to heed them. Jesus wanted to make sure Peter understood this vital charge He was tasking him with and the ultimate reason for it, to follow Him and glorify God (John 21:19).

'Madness Of Brussels.'
'Madness of Brussels elite' Polish leader’s fury at Europe leaders over Manchester terror.
POLAND’S Prime Minister has ripped into European “elites” for failing to stand up to terrorism across the Continent in a furious attack aimed at Brussels. Speaking in the Polish parliament, Beata Szydło raged at the terror threat posed to European nations following the Manchester terror attack, in which 22 people were killed at a pop concert.
She called on European leaders to “rise from your knees and from your lethargy or you will be crying over your children every day”.
She said: “We are not going to take part in the madness of the Brussels elite, we want to help the people, not the political elites.

Drowned Dinosaur SENSIBLY Explained After Imaginative Claptrap.
DROWNED DINOSAUR FOUND
described in articles in Science (AAAS) News 9 May 2017, PhysOrg News, 10 May
2017, National Geographic, and Royal Society Open Science doi:
10.1098/rsos.161086, published online 10 May 2017. A team of researchers at the
Royal Tyrell Museum in Canada have studied a fossil of “an exceptionally
complete and well-preserved skeleton” of an Ankylosaur “preserved in a cemented
sandstone concretion” in the Judith River Formation of northern Montana.
According to the research team, “This is the first ankylosaurin skeleton known
with a complete skull and tail club, and it is the most complete ankylosaurid
ever found in North America”. It was 6 meters long and scientists estimate it
would have weighed about 2,500 kilograms, similar in size and weight to a white
rhinoceros. Along with its bones, the specimen also has preserved bony plates
and skin impressions showing plates, plus some tendons and other soft tissue,
with a large bony knob on the end of its tail. The dinosaur has been named
Zuul crurivastator, after a demonic character in the Ghostbusters
movie. Its species name crurivastator means “destroyer of
shins”. The bony plates and spikes, along with the tail knob are thought to be
for defending itself. According to PhysOrg News, “As with others of its kind,
the specimen had a long, spiked tail that was clearly designed for striking
enemies, but not prey - ankylosaur was a vegetarian”.
PhysOrg goes on to report: “The researchers report that the dinosaur met its fate in a body of water of some sort and was quickly covered in sediment, which acted as a very good preservation material.” The researchers report that the quarry where it was found “also produced the remains of numerous other taxa, including turtles, crocodilyforms, theropods, hadrosaurids, invertebrates and plants”.
Meanwhile, another very well preserved dinosaur of similar size, a nodosaur also with bony plates and spikes and preserved soft tissues, has been found in Alberta, Canada, and is described in National Geographic.

ED.COM. National Geographic has a more detailed and dramatic story about how dinosaurs are preserved: “One unlucky day this landlubbing animal ended up dead in a river, possibly swept in by a flood. The belly-up carcass wended its way downriver - kept afloat by gases that bacteria belched into its body cavity - and eventually washed out into the seaway, scientists surmise. Winds blew the carcass eastward, and after a week or so afloat, the bloated carcass burst. The body sank back-first onto the ocean floor, kicking up soupy mud that engulfed it. Minerals infiltrated the skin and armour and cradled its back, ensuring that the dead nodosaur would keep its true-to-life form as eons worth of rock piled atop it”. National Geographic certainly know how to tell a good story, but they need to add that for a creature to be so well preserved, it had to be buried very rapidly and deeply, before any scavengers or decay processes destroyed it. For a creature the size of a rhinoceros that meant a lot of water dumping a lot of sediment all at once. Furthermore, the reason dinosaurs become encased in rock had nothing to do with eons of time. The ankylosaur was found in what the scientists described as a cemented sandstone concretion. Anyone who has ever made concrete will know that it turns to stone because of the right chemical processes, not because it is left lying around for eons.
PhysOrg is half right in its description of the ankylosaur. It was a vegetarian, but the bony plates and knobs on its tail were not “designed for striking enemies”. To know what it was designed to do you need to consult the Designer who informs us that He created a very good world where all animals were vegetarian and there was no death and struggle. This means this creature was not designed to destroy the shins of enemies, because there weren’t any enemies. So the bony plates, with all their excrescences and knobs, would have been for thermoregulation, species identification and mating signals. Sadly this very good world did not last. Because of human sin and God’s judgement it rapidly degenerated into the world described in the days of Noah - filled with violence, and poor old vegetarian Zuul probably did get around to destroying a few shins of any who attacked him looking for a free lunch. This violent world grieved God so much He sent the Flood to destroy it, and that is a better explanation of how the ankylosaur ended up drowned, washed to sea then buried under a mass of sediment, along with all the other animals and plants listed by the research team.

In the UKIP Manifesto, Brexit spokesman Gerrard Batten, MEP, sets out six
tests that must be completed before we accept that Brexit is done. They
are:
1 THE LEGAL TEST
Parliament must resume its supremacy of law-making without restriction. Britain must be completely free from the jurisdiction of the European Court of Justice, and we must be free, if we wish, to relinquish our membership of the European Court of Human Rights.2 THE MIGRATION TEST
Britain must have full control of immigration and asylum policies, and border control. We must be not be bound by any freedom of movement obligation, and we must be free to set and meet our own annual migration targets.3 THE MARITIME TEST
The UK’s full maritime sovereignty must be restored and we must have control of our maritime exclusive economic zone, which stretches 200 miles off the coast or to the half-way point between the UK and neighbouring countries. There must be no constraints on our fishing fleet other than those decided upon by the UK parliament.4 THE TRADE TEST
The UK must retake its seat on the World Trade Organisation and resume its sovereign right to sign trade agreements with other entities or supra-national bodies. We must have full rights to set our own tariff and non-tariff barriers consistent with WTO rules, and we must have left both the EU single market and the customs union.5 THE MONEY TEST
We must not pay any ‘divorce’ payment to the EU, nor contribute to the EU budget. We must have been paid our share of financial assets from entities such as the European Investment Bank, in which some £9 billion of UK money is vested.6 THE TIME TEST
Brexit must be done and dusted before the end of 2019.

IN 1997 at the end of the John Major’s Conservative
government, there were 4.9m public sector employees. In 2010 at the end of
Gordon Brown’s Labour government, he left 6.2m public sector employees, paid for
via billions he borrowed, and part of Labour’s £157bn inherited
deficit.
The coalition and Conservative governments that
followed have reduced the public sector employee total to 5.4m, data supplied by
the ONS.
Labour have launched their election manifesto, in
which it is clearly demonstrable that if in power they will re-nationalise
everything. This means they will double the size of the public sector. All those
additional wages, National Insurance and pension contributions will fall, as
always, on the taxpayers in the private sector and OAPs who continue to pay tax
in retirement.
Is it any wonder that Labour’s godfather Len
McCluskey, the public sector trade union supremo, has changed his mind and is
now delighted by Corbyn’s’ plan to double his union
membership?
Do you want to fund another five million public
sector staff?

Jesus Told Widow of Tortured Missionary to Forgive Muslims Who Killed Him (Interview)

The wife of a tortured
and slain Christian missionary who made headlines when she declared that she had
forgiven her husband's murderers just days after his death says the reason why
she was able to forgive so quickly is because Jesus had told her to do so. http://www.christianpost.com/news/jesus-told-widow-tortured-missionary-forgive-muslims-who-killed-him-183627/
Farron - Whose Side Is He On?
Abortion, gay rights and how the Lib Dem leader I once respected sold his
soul, writes QUENTIN LETTS, who watched the manifesto launch through a cloud of
smoke.
We all know the apocryphal story of the MP who pushes out his chest and
tells a large crowd: 'These are my principles and if you don't like 'em . . .' -
at which point, the crowd starts heckling. Speedily altering tack, the MP
continues: '. . . and if you don't like 'em, I can change 'em for other
principles.' Normally, this would be seen as a sceptical (if horribly true)
observation about the elasticity of our politicians. They'd sell their souls to
get elected, huh? But in the case of Tim Farron, it is more serious than that.
Selling his soul may be precisely what it feels like to the Liberal Democrats'
pink-faced young leader. This is his first general election in charge and, poor
man, he is making a hash of it, writes QUENTIN LETTS. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4516926/Abortion-gay-rights-Lib-Dem-leader-sold-soul.html

Today, I

It produced anger,

Sadly, it forgot

Difficult to see how
else their point might have been made of course - the facts were rather against

Numpties Alert On Sky News Yesterday And Some Embarrassing Questions.
Apparently, it is 'the lack of youth workers' which
leads to rabid islamic nutters planting bombs!
Apparently, it is because they are
'disconnected'.
Apparently it's because 'they are not
engaging properly'.
Apparently, it isn't really an Islamic
issue.
Apparently, Islamic communities are terribly opposed
to these kinds of actions. Fine. Most are, I am 100% certain of that BUT are
'community members' regularly reporting the nutters to the police? - I have no
real idea, I must confess, but I very strongly suspect that they are
not.
At one point, I even wondered if the Crusades, a millenium ago, were going to get the blame again in this 'make excuses culture' the liberal elite has so generously adopted!
Why aren't there thousands of imams telling people that 'hell awaits suicide bombers' - even if this is only because moslem lives could be threatened by indiscriminate acts?
Why are moslem groups and communities not condemning their imams who preach violence? Why are these vermin not being hounded out of their posts?
Why do polls show significant numbers (albeit a minority) of moslems who seemingly approve of terror attacks?
Against this backcloth - why does Islam get 'a free pass' in our society?
Why, of all religions represented in the UK, is it only moslems who are causing this kind of devastation?

Dear Feminists: Your Butchery Of The Unborn Is Not As Popular As You Contend.
Contrary
to impressions given in the media, by professional bodies such as the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and by most parliamentarians, an
overwhelming majority of Britons actually want to make it harder for women to get abortions, a new poll reveals.
It
is particularly striking how much support there is among women for lowering the time limit for abortion,
which currently stands at 24 weeks. Of the 70 per cent of women who want the
limit lowered nearly six in ten are in favour of a limit of 16 weeks or fewer
and 41 per cent actually want it 12 weeks or fewer.
2,000
people were recently interviewed by ComRes, finding that:
- 70 per cent of women would like the current time limit for abortion to be lowered
- 59 per cent of women would like the abortion time limit lowered to 16 weeks or lower
- Only one per cent want the abortion time limit raised to birth
- 93 per cent of women want independent abortion counselling introduced
- 79 per cent of general population want a five-day consideration period before abortion
- 84 per cent of women want improved pregnancy support for women in crisis
- 70 per cent of parents want introduction of parental consent for girls 15 and under to get abortions
- 56 per cent support freedom of conscience for doctors
