I once did a little sales work and learned the tricks of the trade.
When the potential customer hesitates - give 'em a choice!
"Would you like the red one or the yellow?"
Consider what is built into a certain white elephant:















1] "What should we do about global warming?"
2] "Can we do more to combat global warming?"
3] "Should we raise taxes to fight global warming?"











In sales, this is referred to as "assumptive".
