Brigitte Bardot is looking a touch older than she did in this photo.
Perhaps that is because she is now 73 or maybe it is the persecution she is enduring because she has dared to criticise Islam.
The French authorities and a private group, MRAP, have colluded to prosecute her FIVE times, the latest accompanied by a £12,000 fine.
The well known animal rights campaigner has largely been attacked for decrying halal slaughter practices, although on this occasion, she has dared to suggest that Islam itself is deleterious to her country.
End of story. No suggestion that muslims should be attacked or persecuted - just a common or garden 'thought crime' which she had the temerity to voice.
France is a Roman Catholic nation - of sorts. I would love to know how many muslims have been prosecuted for criticising catholicism in much balder terms.
My guess is that the figure will be marginally less than one!
