Once again our gridlocked roads - now officially the worst in Europe - are being used to 'bash the motorist' with claims that we have 'more cars per mile of motorway' than anywhere else in the universe.
This claim is technically true but this 'unassailable logic'conceals a lesser publicised fact.The real truth is that we have fewer miles of motorway per million of population than anywhere else in Europe. Alters the perspective a bit - doesn't it?
Gridlock is NOT green!
