Don't Forget Asia Bibi!
Asia Bibi, the Christian woman on death row for blasphemy in Pakistan, is in good health but is missing her children, her husband, Ashiq, told Release in a telephone interview.The illiterate farm labourer from Punjab, who has been in prison for a year and a half, sees her family just twice a month for three to four hours at a time.
'Like all the prisoners, she is in a small cell,' Ashiq told us. 'She is missing her children but she is physically well and her faith is strong, Please keep praying for Asia's release and for our children. They miss their mum a lot.'
Ashiq and their children, who have received support from a Release partner, have been forced to move home on several occasions because of threats to their safety and are in hiding again. (Release Int.)
