"Charity begins at home, is the voice of the world, yet is every man his greatest enemy, and as it were, his own executioner. "
Sir Thomas Browne (19 October 1605 - 19 October 1682) in his book Religio Medici (1642).
As a follower of Jesus, I always wince slightly when I hear the words 'Charity Begins At Home' as it is inevitably delivered in the kind of narrow, curmudgeonly fashion which dishonours The Son Of Man.
Obviously, the first call on believers is to help those around them and the 'shrinking of the world' by the media makes life more complex than at any time in history BUT Christians MUST do their best in all circumstances.
We cannot help every good cause but deciding that we shall direct funds only to UK charities is patently wrong.
Self explanatory title. I abhor that nicey nicey, politically correct, pseudo-Christianity which almost always supports leftwing attitudes - which in most cases are profoundly anti-Gospel. This Blog supports persecuted Christians. This Blog exposes cults. This Blog opposes junk science. UPDATED DAILY. This is not a forum. This Blog supports truly Christian websites and aids their efforts. It is hardhitting and unashamedly evangelical so if it offends - please do not come to this site!
