Nigel Farage is campaigning to get rid of road tolls like the Dartford Crossing
UKIP descended on tolls from London's Dartford Crossing to the Tyne Tunnel to launch their "scrap the Tolls" campaign.
Car drivers face charges of between £1.50 on the Mersey Tunnel to £5.50 to use the M6 Toll in the Midlands to £10 a day for the London congestion Charge.

Tolls are still levied on the Dartford Crossing despite its bridge having been paid for nine years ago.
And UKIP says a conservative estimate of the sum levied at the five tolls targeted is £1.6million a day or more than £0.5billion a year.
UKIP, whose leader Nigel Farage unfurled a banner at the Dartford Crossing, says motorists already pay more than enough in taxes.
Express.

Motorists currently pay out £48.2 billion a year in motoring taxes to use all the UK's roads - but only get £9.8 billion spent a year on the network.
