The
latest opinion poll from Opinium for The Observer newspaper puts UKIP on 17%,
just 10 points behind the Tories.
The
party is up 4% in a fortnight and now has more than double the 8% support
enjoyed by the Lib Dems.
The
coalition parties suffered a double blow as 58% of people polled said they
believed government policies were hurting the economy.
