Tony Miano.

Thank you for your prayers for Tony Miano

Tony Miano, a client of the Christian Legal Centre, appeared in Dundee Sheriff Court this afternoon and has now been released on bail to appear back before the Court on 22nd April.

Tony was held in custody overnight and appeared before the Sheriff’s Court today where he pleaded not guilty to a charge alleging breach of the peace with 'homophobic' aggravation..

The arrest occurred when a woman in a crowd objected to Tony referring to the Bible’s teaching on sexual sin.  He has been bailed to appear for trial at Dundee Sheriff’s Court on 22 April but is free to return to his home in the United States in the meantime.

Tony said after his release: “I’m so very thankful to the Lord and all the supporters of Christian Concern who have supported me with their prayers over the past day, during which I’ve been held in custody for simply sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

"It’s alarming that in a country such as the UK which helped spread Christianity to the world, we’re seeing police oppression of God’s word being preached in the streets of our towns and cities.

"Christians need to support Christian Concern which is committed to helping people like me who are being prevented from preaching the Gospel.” Christian Concern.
