We have surely been aware for over a year that the
great English cricket team is no more.
The worst defeat in our history in the Ashes series
was followed by further capitulation, with a largely different team, in the
ODIs. One win in five and two matches surrendered. And now, a different team has
lost the T20 competition to boot!
We have been outplayed, out-thought, out-fielded. We
have been third best in a two horse race to an Aussie side which is, admittedly,
improved.
All we have to do to rise up to the dizzy heights of
mediocrity, is:
Find a spinner to replace Swann.
Find a new skipper.
Find a new Andersen.
Find some batsmen with bottle.
Improve our moderate fielding
and
LEARN TO PLAY INTELLIGENT CRICKET!
