Historian Double Standards.

So many History programmes tend to take a pro-Irish, pro-Scot, pro-Welsh line in their altercations with the English - fair enough! It is a valid point of view given England's power and hegemony over these nations over centuries. So. Why are so many of these historians and commentators inconsistent in their views? Why is there not a common voice from these academics in support of the UK against the domination of Brussels; the rights of Gibraltar to be apart from Spain; the North of Ireland to be separate from the South; the Falkland islanders to enjoy autonomy? Indeed - how many of these adopt a default position against the very existence of the state of Israel?
