Thursday at the Great Yorkshire Show. It was, as ever, a fantastic day out .
During my visit I saw a number of police officers who were scruffy, unshaven
with unpressed trousers and dirty boots. What is wrong? Little wonder they are
treated by many with so little
respect.
When I recall how immaculately my Dad used to be turned out
for everything as a copper, I am disturbed by this
trend.
