I do not think that I have ever seen a wretchedly poor test team - riddled with good players, nonetheless - turn itself around in just two matches. The worry is perhaps that this team had already lost to a seriously substandard Indian outfit.
We shall not know if a corner has been turned until we face much better opposition. Whoever fired a rocket up the skipper's rear has seemingly done the nation a great service.
