Churches 'Important for social integration.'

New analysis suggests that churches and other places of worship are the most effective institutions in society in bringing together people of different races and social classes. The finding is based on a survey of 4,300 adults by the Social Integration Commission whose chair, Matthew Taylor, commented, "perhaps contrary to perceived wisdom, activities such as attending a place of worship or a sporting event can bring people from all sorts of backgrounds together."
