Starlings? - Are They Joking?

The way that front gardens are being paved over for parking spaces and to avoid the weekly walk with the mower is bad news for birds iconic species such as the starling.
Starlings, along with blackbirds and song thrushes, love to forage in grassy swards for grubs – a natural service that keen gardeners say is beneficial for keeping lawns in top condition.

The Royal Horticultural Society is calling for householders to reverse the paving over of suburbia as the Chelsea Flower Show gets underway. Express.
But I must admit that it is six years since I last saw a song thrush around here!
