Humphrys Is Not Wrong But ...

Veteran broadcaster John Humphrys says Facebook and Twitter fuel idiocy because users feel the need to post 'utterly pointless' updates about their life.

The problem is that some people have lives so devoid of anything noteworthy - they have to rely on trivia. They are rather to be pitied than condemned.
