So. England's first innings batting failed, yet again! Had it not been for Ali and Woakes, we could easily have ended up with a miserly total of around 200. (Thanks are, of course, due to Pakistan for their dropped catches.) The careers of Hales, Ballance and especially Vince are all now under grave threat. A poor second innings score could see batting careers either fading or disappearing. Yesterday, this unhappy trio totalled 15 runs - BETWEEN THEM!
In the end, the score for that pitch was mediocre but, the wicket of Sami at the very end of the day brought some cheer.
A dry sunny day is forecast and so the English bowlers may find themselves having a long, hard day in the field. For some incomprehensible reason 'WinViz' on Sky TV now has England as favourites!?!
