The 2002 serial based on the exploits of Eazy Company
in the American 101st Airborne, is a series I never really wanted to watch.
Finally persuaded to do so by Number Two son - fifteen years after the release -
I have been stunned by the quality.
Okay - I found it difficult to always work out who was
who - but it really did not matter all that much.
Well done too to the brilliant academic, the late Professor
Stephen Ambrose, who made this true story so very readable and
watchable.
Excellence always merits
praise.
