Do We Follow The Bible ... Or Not?

A WORD FROM THE DIRECTOR: God’s Word tells us we should be “… bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, … 2 Corinthians 10:5. In fact we are to destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God. It is the calling of God’s

people saved in Christ, to share the truth in a world that needs it but so often doesn’t want it. Jesus’ brother, Jude, so plainly states “I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.” Jude 3-4.

If you are a contender for the faith then don’t be shocked when people accuse you of being contend-ious. The truth that heals in Christ often hurts first, as our sinful hearts hate it when that sin we are pretending is ok, is exposed for what it is ... ugly rebellion against our Maker and Redeemer.   Just recently in the UK, a middle-aged man approached and sadly shared his church used to believe the Bible, that God made the world in just six days and there was no hint of gap theories or the 6 days being millions of years, or of theistic evolution and many people were getting saved! Then some ‘Iearned’ people came in and we heard doubts that the days are really days and we started to doubt that God created just as God’s Word says. Now nobody is being saved in our church and we are weak. Thank you so much for coming to our area and please keep preaching the truth of God’s Word being true from the very beginning to the very end.   What a heart rending request - so pray with us in our prayer that God’s Word will be put on our lips that we might share it faithfully, because it is God Himself in the person of Jesus Christ who has saved us and we do not belong to ourselves.
