Extremism: Jane Dowie Hasn't A Clue.

IF we’ve learned anything about politics this year, it’s that each major party, both Labour and Conservative, has fallen victim to its extremist wings. As Prime Minister Theresa May found to her cost last week, her own particular version of caring Conservatism cuts no mustard with the hard Brexiteers. Although she emerged from the attempted coup, her persecutors, led by ultra-right-winger Jacob Rees-Mogg, remind us that the Tories are a party where individual self-determination presides above all. Such is the cacophony coming from Westminster, it’s easy to switch off sometimes and forget that each political party is a very distinct body. However, deepening class and geographical divide and the shrill shriek of what passes for debate on social media soon remind us that the demands made by political allegiance have never been as powerful.

Our society has moved even further left than I had thought if that is where this inoffensive, principled democrat is placed.
Where does your vocabulary leave you when wanting to describe a Tommy Robinson, then?
Believe me - there exists a far harder right than that individual.

I had never paid one whit of attention before to Ms Dowie. I have now placed her firmly onto that rubbish heap of writers who are: limp, wet, dim, dopey, otherworldly and have no concept whatsoever of politics, democracy or the feelings of ordinary people.
