The government decided to clamp down on such schools using OFSTED - a most useful tool for leftists and atheists.
To show they were being 'evenhanded' - they made Independent Christian Schools a target - and regulationed them to the extent that many were forced to close when unable to staff all the red tape and bureaucracy coming back at them.
