England Batting Fails Again at Lords.

True, 258 is far better than the derisory 95 scored in the first innings of the Edgbaston Test but England did themselves few favours.
Jason Roy's three ball innings is surely the final proof that he will never make a test opener. Somehow, England must push him down the order in the second innings - he is clearly unfit to face the new ball. Personally, I see his technique as so dire that it is improbable that my plan would make a huge difference.

In fairness, it was not an easy wicket to negotiate but Paine's decision to insert England was wholly vindicated.
It will now be left to a combination of the England bowlers and the weather to rescue England.
Perhaps they could salvage a draw?
