England Win The Third T20 against India By 17 Runs.

Opener Jason Roy is starting to look like the same 'busted flush' that he was as the selectors' hapless choice to be an England red ball opener two years ago.

Jos Buttler is not batting well.

Matt Parkinson looks two levels of class short of what is needed and Sam Curran is not the bowler that he was in his late teens. Has Mo Ali lost it? - Bring back Rashid!

Happily, the rest of the T20 batting is looking decent.

Topley is showing up as a decent quick but has fallen below newcomer Gleeson who has the look of a genuine death bowler.

Over the last eighteen months Chris Jordan has looked a shadow of his former self but that poor form now seems to be History.

I wonder how this - or a similar side - will perform in the three ODIs against India coming up this week?

With the return of two or three of the big guns who play across the formats such as Bairstow & co - England should be ready for the the trophy hunting coming up this winter.
