A number of years ago, the EU had a 26% share of world trade - the latest figure I can find suggests that this is now just 14% (some weakly claim, however, that this may be a lofty16%)
Self explanatory title. I abhor that nicey nicey, politically correct, pseudo-Christianity which almost always supports leftwing attitudes - which in most cases are profoundly anti-Gospel. This Blog supports persecuted Christians. This Blog exposes cults. This Blog opposes junk science. UPDATED DAILY. This is not a forum. This Blog supports truly Christian websites and aids their efforts. It is hardhitting and unashamedly evangelical so if it offends - please do not come to this site!

Hitching Our Wagon To The EU Was A Disaster.
If you can find a publication of this as a graph the progressive movement is ever downwards and has been for a very long time.
Since Brexit, both imports and exports have fallen between the EU and the UK BUT the general trade balance is now more in favour of the UK than ever before.
This week, we have now joined the Trans Pacific Partnership as an independent nation.
We have shed so much of the EU's constant, niggling, eye-wateringly expensive pettiness and concentration on irrelevant trivia.
The TPP is purely about trade - it is not about being bullied any more. Their rules are pragmatic and not designed to tie members down. Funny. I thought that's what I was voting for when I supported what was to become the EU back in the mid 70s. (Proves how wrong you can be to have believed the twin liars of Heath and Wilson.)
The TPP is a multi £trillion organisation and opens up countless opportunities.
Ne'er forget that, in addition, the UK has brokered more than 70 individual trading agreements across the globe with individual nations. As members of the EU - this would have been impossible.
I had predicted that Brexit would reduce our GDP by anything up to 10% but was still the right course.
In actual fact - largely because of pretty decent relationships with Brussels - this has been a mere 4%. A tiny price to pay.
We now find ourselves at a new starting point which can only bring prosperity and growth to our nation as we watch the EU's share of world trade continue to fall even further.
We really are now in an economic 'best of all worlds' situation.
Incidentally - let us give a little credit to the greatly maligned Liz Truss who negotiated most of those 70 trade deals.
Elephantine Tragedies.
