According to LA County, you can ask a child about sexual orientation at any age Curated for you by CP Editors A spokesperson for Los Angeles County's Department of Children and Family Services confirmed that social workers are required to ask children as young as 10 years old about their sexual orientation and gender identity. DCFS claims there is "no right or wrong age to ask a child [or non-minor dependent] about their sexual orientation and gender identity and expression." The policy also prohibits social workers from disclosing what the child shares in any court reports unless the child gives their permission. Full Story.
