Working together to achieve a world without leprosy
Dear Friends,

The start of 2024 has been a busy time for Lepra as we enter our 100th year. It has been lovely to meet some supporters face-to-face at our centenary mass at Westminster Cathedral and our centenary year launch at the House of Commons. Images from both events can be viewed on our centenary website

On Monday 4th March, we invite you to join our free International Women's Day event co-hosted with the University of Essex. The evening will feature inspirational speakers and an expert Q&A panel. You can attend in person or online, find out more here.

Our latest edition of Lepra News explores women's role in beating leprosy and lymphatic filariasis. State Coordinator, Radhika Mamidi tell us continuum of care is of paramount importance and how new technology is key to benefiting the lives of people affected by leprosy and LF.

We also learn how an innovative project is using technology to improve customised footwear for people affected by leprosy and LF; aiding healing of ulcers and prevention of further injuries.

We are proud of our 100-years of research and innovation. Our centenary is not only a time to reflect on our past but a time to look to our future and I look forward to sharing our new global strategy with you soon.
