Hope for justice in Pastor Koh’s case ‘We dedicate this judgement to Pastor Raymond Koh, a man of faith, compassion and courage; and to all victims of enforced disappearance.' Earlier this month, a judge confirmed what was long believed: that the police and the government were involved in the disappearance of Pastor Koh in 2017. This landmark ruling brings hope for justice after nearly nine years of painful uncertainty. The High Court in Kuala Lumpur directed the investigation into his abduction to recommence, and his family is set to be awarded 37 million Malaysian Ringgit – approximately £6.8 million. This is the largest compensation in Malaysia involving enforced disappearance. Pastor Koh’s wife Susanna said: ‘We are overjoyed and thankful to God that we have an honest and fair judgement… Though this will not bring Pastor Raymond back, it is somewhat a vindication and closure for the family.’ We praise God for this answered prayer and continue to pray for the truth to be fully revealed, and justice done.
