The Lex Talionis: It is the principle that the punishment should fit the crime.
It is still extant for: leaders, authorities, parliaments, judges etc. (But does not include 'under-sentencing' as a Godly principle. Forgiveness is different. It is what Christians must follow for those who have wronged personally them. It is not a court issue.)
