Did you know that you have the right to speak to a UK person when you call a company for a service or whatever?
I've done this when I simply couldn't understand the person talking to me.
But I never realised that this is a proactive way of bringing jobs back to the UK.
Do the following when you phone any customer service operation that is based in a foreign country. I have done this twice and it works!
Any time you call a company about a problem with a credit card, bank account, computer, product, etc and you are answered by a person in a call centre abroad, eg. in India, try this:
As soon as you realise that the customer service person is not in the UK (you can always ask if you are not sure about the accent), please very politely (very politely - this is not about trashing other cultures) say, "I'd like to speak to a customer service person in the United Kingdom."
The rep might suggest talking to his/her manager, but, again, politely say, "Thank you, but I'd like to speak to a customer service person in the UK."
YOU WILL BE IMMEDIATELY CONNECTED to a rep in the UK. It only takes a few seconds to have your call re-directed to the UK .
Tonight when I got redirected to a UK rep, I asked again to make sure - and yes, she was in Swansea.
Imagine if tomorrow, every UK citizen requests a UK rep, how that would impact the number of extra UK jobs needed.
Imagine what would happen if every UK citizen insisted on talking to only UK phone reps from this day on.
Remember - the goal is to restore jobs back here at home - not to be abrupt or rude to a foreigner.
If you agree, please tell 10 people you know and tell them to tell 10 people they know.
Self explanatory title. I abhor that nicey nicey, politically correct, pseudo-Christianity which almost always supports leftwing attitudes - which in most cases are profoundly anti-Gospel. This Blog supports persecuted Christians. This Blog exposes cults. This Blog opposes junk science. UPDATED DAILY. This is not a forum. This Blog supports truly Christian websites and aids their efforts. It is hardhitting and unashamedly evangelical so if it offends - please do not come to this site!

Stephen Glover uncovers liberal fascism.
'Even merely to hold views that diverge from the new orthodoxy on issues such as global warming or religion or traditional morality is to risk at best ridicule, at worst censure and contempt. In short, the bigots who bear down on dissent have shifted from the Right or the portals of the old Establishment to the liberal Left and the new Establishment.
Of course, not all liberals are intolerant, any more than all members of the old Establishment were. But when we consider what we can or cannot say or write, we no longer think of the Archbishop of Canterbury or the Lord Chamberlain, but of the politically correct brigade who may declare — as in the case of ‘jungle drums’ — the mildest and most inoffensive thought out of bounds.'

Open Doors asks for aid for beleaguered Egyptian Christians.
http://www.opendoorsuk.org/resources/persecution.php?country=egypt
To the anti-racism buffoons - a LoonyTunesWatch coconut.
'A health watchdog has had its funding withdrawn after its chairman was bizarrely accused of racism for using the phrase ‘jungle drums’ to describe gossip.
The innocuous remark at a public meeting was seized upon by an equality campaigner – and the ensuing race row has lasted six months at a cost to the taxpayer of tens of thousands of pounds.
The trouble began at a gathering of the Wiltshire Involvement Network (WIN), an independent health watchdog, in Potterne Wick, Devizes, when chairman Anna Farquhar, 70, noted that gossip about NHS changes had been spreading within the Health Service, remarking: ‘You cannot help the jungle drums.’
Gossip girls: The trouble began at a gathering of the Wiltshire Involvement Network when Anna Farquhar, 70, noted that gossip about NHS changes had been spreading within the Health Service, remarking: 'You cannot help the jungle drums'
The term comes from the use of wooden drums which were traditionally used in parts of Africa to communicate messages over long distances.
But a member of the public in attendance at the meeting in the local Scout headquarters, Sonia Carr, declared the phrase to be racist. Mrs Farquhar immediately apologised for any offence but Mrs Carr, a member of the Wiltshire Racial Equality Council, was unsatisfied and submitted an official complaint to Wiltshire Council, which launched a costly investigation.'

We all have to pay because of the unbalanced idiocy of a wild-eyed leftie and her loony chums.

Dr Michael Pinto-Duschinsky
Dr Michael Pinto-Duschinsky of The Policy Exchange has insisted that the UK should remove itself from the injustices of The European Court of Human Rights. Of course, as that is impossible without us withdrawing first from the EU - I must loudly and heartily applaud his argument!

Sick! Unbelievable! And we are losing lives for these people.
'An Afghan physiotherapist will be executed within three days for converting to Christianity.
Said Musa, 45, has been held for eight months in a Kabul prison were he claims he has been tortured and sexually abused by inmates and guards.
Mr Musa, who lost his left leg in a landmine explosion in the 1990s, has worked for the Red Cross for 15 years and helps to treat fellow amputees.'

Labour voters must be SO proud!
'Cruel Labour MPs have been accused of behaving like ‘hyenas going for the kill’ when they mocked a disabled Tory MP speaking in a Commons debate. They pulled faces, made gestures and laughed in an attempt to humiliate Conservative MP Paul Maynard, who has cerebral palsy.'
Parking tickets.
I went into dopey mode on Friday and picked up a soft parking ticket. Fair enough, I was wrong and it cost me £35 for my stupidity. When I stop and think however, neither I, nor the other victims around me, were doing any harm at all!
Is it not time that ALL areas carrying parking restrictions were reviewed and the enormous numbers of unnecessary restrictions were scrapped?
One secret to unclogging our roads and keeping 'green' is to minimise the time cars are actually on the road - this is best achieved by stopping drivers having to go around in circles, wasting fuel whilst seeking a legal parking slot!

A mere 60 deaths a year, Mr Clarke.
'More than one murder every week is committed by a criminal who could have been locked up, it emerged last night.Shocking figures show how 60 deaths could have been prevented if the criminal had been remanded in custody rather than released on bail after their first offence.'
A RESOUNDING VICTORY FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO CLEAR OUR PRISONS.
Let us juxtapose this with the vain attempts of abolitionists to 'prove' that an innocent was hanged every decade or so when there was rather more justice available than there is today.
These alleged miscarriages of justice are almost entirely spurious and at the very least, dubious claims.
Extrapolating from these figures, we could expect 6oo people who are verifiably dead at the hands of a 'bail bandit' over a decade.
So. Where is the perspective?
Listen how loud the silence is from our liberal left friends.
I think that it was former Chief Probation Officer, Peter Coad, who pointed out that released 'lifers' kill at the rate of one per fortnight.
To what extent these figures overlap - I could not say.

ECHR is a catastrophe!
'European judges have turned Britain into a ‘safe haven’ for foreign terrorists, the independent reviewer of anti-terror laws warned yesterday.Lord Carlile said rulings by the European Court of Human Rights had undermined efforts to deport dangerous individuals intent on causing mayhem.'

Kebabs.
I rang the new, local kebab shop as its flier did not state whether or not the meat was halal or not. It is.I have no objection on principle to halal if that is what muslims want to have. My objections are primarily based on the slaughter methods which I consider barbaric and I therefore try to avoid eating this meat.
Halal is being imposed on this population by stealth - and it is wrong.
May I suggest that you check out your kebab shop - and by phone - before using its services.
Jeremy.
Assessment of our very own politician-on-the-spot.
Italy angered by Ashton’s communiqué on religious tolerance.La Repubblica reports that Italy has accused EU Foreign Minister Baroness Catherine Ashton of “excessive” political correctness because she refused to name any specific religious group as a victim of recent sectarian attacks in Egypt and Iraq in a communiqué defending religious tolerance. Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini has asked for the text to be withdrawn. The Telegraph quotes a diplomat saying: “Those who thought the creation of a high representative would lead to a more unified and coherent EU foreign policy have been very disappointed with Ashton. She cannot even finesse a statement from Christian Europe condemning.
SHAMEFUL!

Psalm 23: practical applications.
On the 24th of January there were or had been a minimum of five occurrences without any single one of which I would most assuredly not have survived.(More detail on another occasion, perhaps.)
Some would call it a series of happy coincidences.
Being one of Gods's people however, I have read Psalm 23, and not only that, but I can apply it!

Transfer fees.
Why are transfer fees so dramatically inflated in football? Why are fans therefore paying, in real terms, 400% more to watch the sport than they were in the 60s?Well, at one time clubs effectively 'owned' players as they signed their first contract and they maintained much control over what that player could do, even at the end of a contract.
In came freedom of contract which meant that as a player moved on at the end of a contract, there was an obligation for that player's new club to compensate the former club.
This achieved the right balance between the needs of the player and the club in a market wherein players/contracts were marketable commodities. It recognised that football was not quite the same as an ordinary person choosing to leave a particular job.
THEN in came the infamous Bosman Ruling in the European Courts.
It simply granted absolute power to all footballers and ensured that the giant clubs would compete with each other using telephone number salaries. Naturally, all of this was to the major detriment of both supporters - who had to fund the nonsense - and all professional clubs smaller than Chelsea!
Another disaster imposed by our EU/ECHR membership. (And yes, I am fully aware that these bodies are disingenuously claimed not to be inter-connected!)
The situation is also part of the reason why your Sky Sport package is so pricey.
Pornography.
Some years ago, I had a lengthy article attacking pornography published under a nom de plume in a respectable journal. A certain amount of basic research had unfortunately been necessary. For me this is a tricky area because being somebody who is 'as near to being a libertarian as an evangelical can be', it brings two massive areas of belief into full frontal conflict.
On the one hand I would prefer to see pornography banned but another part of me sees this as an individual's decision.
So if we move from generalities to the fact that, 'according to one recent survey, between 60 and 90 per cent of under-16s have viewed hardcore online pornography' - we clearly have a major social problem.
The distortion to youngsters and their development is for me, sufficient of itself to justify draconian methods if necessary, for governments to heavily restrict access to porn on the Internet. I am fully aware that this has a great many technical problems but the effort must be made.
The argument of 'parental controls' is spurious as few parents are bright enough to exercise this option - and those who do, how can they possibly stop Little Jimmy from accessing the noxious materials at the house of a friend?
The problem is that children are curious beings!

A very dangerous drug.
Steve R. has asthma of a type you would not want to see - let alone experience. For many years he has been given the steroid prednisolone - one which had some contribution, at least, in my Mum's death last May.
Steve has been given cataracts by this drug; he can only shuffle rather than walk; his face is swelled up like a balloon and it has affected his bones to such an extent that he has lost five inches in height!
This drug is dangerous and yet widely used. Should there not be an investigation?
