EU flag and anthem revived by MEPs.

' MEPs have decided to revive symbols of the European Union like the flag and the anthem in an attempt to foster greater pride in the institution.'

PRIDE? - Pride in expense, corruption, bureaucracy, the seeds of new fascism, dishonesty, imperialism and the loss of our rights to self determination?

Spit at every EU flag; turn you back and fold arms if the EU anthem is played; complain to the Nth degree whenever this cursed rag is put up alongside or instead of our own flag!
If you get a legal opportunity to burn this monstrosity where the public can see - do so!
I personally do not like rude gestures but I will henceforth direct one at it every time I see that vile, freedom-robbing banner on display!

Sheep and goats.

Text: Matthew 25:31-33.

' When the Son of Man comes in his glory and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his throne of glory; and all the nations will be gathered before him and he will separate them from one another, just as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats, and he will put the sheep on his right hand and the goats on his left.'

Thus commences one of the most sublime passages in the whole of the New Testament as Jesus goes on to explain that "What you did for the least of these - you did for Me."
An anglican spy has now revealed to me that the opening part of the passage is no longer preached and although to the best of her knowledge this is not official policy - it IS most certainly the practice.

Perhaps we might ask a simple question - "Why did God the Son come to earth to die: why was it necessary?"

The answer "To save the lost" is correct. But in liberal churches throughout the land it is being preached as "To save everybody" which is most emphatically NOT what the Scriptures say. Salvation is offered to all - not everybody will accept it! That is why Christian responsibility to spread the Good News is so vital; so many are headed to a lost eternity!
If liberal reasoning were the case, Jesus's sacrifice was not at all necessary as an indulgent god could simply have waved a magic wand over all people 'to make everything sweet, nice and okay.'
NO! Repentance is required. Those who do not do so ARE GOING TO HELL - however unfashionable that might be in the liberal circles where god is fashioned into man's image.
Salvation means 'being saved from hell'. Redemption means 'being bought back; bought at the greatest of prices!'

PLEASE NOTE. Matthew 25:31 shows WHO will do the dividing up - it is JESUS!

So are you one who has repented and accepted the sacrifice of the Living Lord for your sins or are you not? - There is no other way.
This, ladies and gentlemen, is the teaching of Christianity across the denominations. It has always been the Message. You may accept or reject but what you may not do is to pretend that there is some 'other way' or that Christianity preaches something different - coz it just ain't so!

Your choice!

Leave the farmers alone.

I get seriously annoyed when letters appear in the media ignorantly attacking our farmers; suggesting that they are 'raking it in' and declaring that they are all getting EU payoffs for non-production.
Certainly, the farmers in the cornfields of East Anglia do rather well with their EU subsidies but there is precious little cheer for pig breeders, sheep farmers, egg producers and the mixed farm economy elsewhere who also have to contend with wicked supermarket purchasing policies.
The Common Agricultural Policy was shamelessly a Gaullist invention through which eventually, vast amounts of our taxpayers' money would be funnelled into the pockets of relatively inefficient, French, peasant farmers.
The EU has systematically wrecked our ability to produce our own food and has deliberately overseen the winding down of food production in the UK at the same time as turning a typical farmer's life into a bureaucratic nightmare.
By the end of World War Two we produced the bulk of our own food - when we had to.
Today, that simply could not be repeated. I cannot lay hands on the statistic but I suspect that we now produce no more than 25% of our needs.
It is a policy intended to undermine our national sovereignty by making us fully dependent on the EU.
Scary!

Divorce - the practicalities.

One of the greatest problems facing Christians today is the issue of divorce. In Mark 10, Jesus takes a very hard line against, which is only slightly diluted by the addition of the 'except on grounds of adultery' found in Matthew 5.

Evangelicals tend to add 'violence and abuse' into the equation as also being reasonable grounds but would be stretched to find scriptural warrant to do so. Only Roman Catholics take a line which is fully opposed to divorce.

The further Christians move from the above, the more we enter into the realms of liberal church theology, although in fairness, it is abundantly clear that Jesus's pronouncements were very much to protect women from men divorcing and dumping them in a society which lacked compassion. Divorce for women in those days was a truly dreadful fate.

Even in Malachi at the end of the Old Testament it states that 'God hates divorce'.

Marriage of course, has a spiritual and symbolical dimension and our society has got it all so badly wrong when it is incapable of grasping this point. Our own personal, self interest must always take precedence in an increasingly hedonistic world where 'duty' and 'responsibility' are no longer considered to be of great import.

More than one marriage in three will end in divorce; half the children born today are illegitimate and ephemeral partnerships have replaced a large percentage of marriages.

This is a recipe for social disaster - and guess where the finger of blame should be pointed - as usual - yes, the liberal left.

Divorces will always have to happen but making divorce so easy was a very big mistake.

Obama.

Mr Obama - oh so, sweet natured and gracious!

Barack Obama was at the centre of a sexist smear storm last night after he was accused of comparing Republican vice-presidential hopeful Sarah Palin to a pig in lipstick.

Oh how he will come to regret that remark! I predict that yesterday a turning point was reached from which his campaign will not recover.

Scotland Yard Won’t Investigate The BBC.

A reply has finally been received from Magnus Gudmundsson, of Scotland Yard’s specialist crime directorate, to my submission of evidence of the BBC’s pro-EU bias in prima facie breach of its Royal Charter.
The corporation has been seriously compromised by its acceptance of millions of euros from the EU and blatant support of British membership.
It has taken some six months for Scotland Yard to invent reasons why the police will not investigate. Note the use of the words “will not”. Mr Gudmundsson makes no claim that Scotland Yard “cannot” investigate. They have made a conscious decision not to investigate.
As a result of his decision, the following response has been sent to Scotland Yard:
Thank you for your letter of September 1, eventually in response to my correspondence and enclosures sent to Scotland Yard some six months ago.
You have clearly had great trouble concocting an adequate answer since it has taken you and your colleagues so long
You appear to have invented a new legal concept – namely that only crimes which meet the police’s own priorities will be investigated.
It is possible you are unfamiliar with the concept that the rule of law is even more important than the law itself. You appear to be suggesting that this no longer applies to the police. Is this the case?
I should also point out to you that, seeking to suggest that the government has made decisions about police priorities is an entirely circular argument. The BBC has become an arm of the corporate state, it is plainly being financed by the EU (see my documentation) and it is equally plainly being manipulated by an institution with a clear political agenda (see Lord Pearson’s numerous reports).
So to suggest that it does not meet your priorities is threadbare and unacceptable.
As for your suggestion that this is not an investigation in the public interest I must tell you that there will be many tens of thousands of people who simply do not accept such an assertion.
I await your clarification of the points raised above.

Evidence of human activity in whole geological column.

If the geologists are correct in their creation of the so-called 'geological column' - then human activity will only be seen in the 'latest' strata.

They have a small problem in that human activity can be found throughout their so-called column with some of the evidence listed in the chart on the left of this piece.

So they are wrong! Evidence in geology for periods of the billions of years needed for evolution to take place has been rather thin at the best of times - this shoots it down BIG STYLE!

Petrol prices.

Our government rips off the motorist by taking well over 70% of the cost of a gallon of petrol in taxation.

The giant oil companies must prospect, raise to the surface, transport crude, process the crude and transport to the petrol stations who must also make a realistic profit. They deserve good profits.

Without the taxes, filling our tanks would cost about a quarter of what it does today.
All this being said - that the government is to blame and the oil companies actually earn their profits - I am afraid that the oil companies have taken advantage to rip us off.

The price of a barrel of oil has now dropped to around $100.

WHERE IS THE FALL AT THE PUMPS?

Petrol is the only commodity I know of where tax is levied on top of an earlier tax. If the petrol companies reduce their take, the government's cut will also fall.

Returning to the 80p a litre mark should be achievable.

Why is this site not closed down? Why are all sites of this type not shut down instantly by the Internet Service Providers?

Similarly, why do the ISPs not shut down all child pornography sites - the responsibility is entirely theirs?

Why is this not monitored like Facebook?

I spoke to a computer expert later in the day and he told me how these people operate and weeding out the child porn merchants is certainly very difficult BUT NOT IMPOSSIBLE!

Not by degrees.

A study by Kent university suggests that 1/3 of students are not in a graduate job 5 years after graduation and that this has grown from 22% in 1992. The least benefit from is for students from former polytechnics.

Other investigations have shown how worthless employers consider degrees in Media Studies, Psychology, Sociology, Women's Studies et al to be.

British justice sidelined.

Britons tried abroad in their absence will be deported from the UK to serve their sentence under planned European laws.
Refinements to the controversial European Arrest Warrant system mean a British citizen can be arrested here and sent to prison elsewhere - even if he did not know he had been charged.
The rules will apply to crimes ranging from murder and rape to others such as 'xenophobia' which is unrecognised in British law. [Daily Mail]

That systems are in place for extradition to be facilitated between democratic nations is clearly a good thing.

To surrender to the EU model however, is clearly a recipe for the destruction of our rights under British Justice.

To respond that 'if you have not done anything wrong, you will have nothing to fear' is naive and disingenuous. It is a variation on the ID cards theme.

Neither can you argue that governments will not abuse extreme powers - they always will when it suits their nefarious purposes!

If considered amongst all the other erosions of our liberties by the European Union - we have cause for much worry.

Oh dear. We are constantly being berated by the holier-than-everybody else, Desmond Tutu, retired Archbishop of Capetown.

Some 25 years ago, two S. African Christians stayed over in our house. They mentioned the rampant poverty in evidence literally on Desmond's very doorstep and claimed that S. African Christians were aiding these poor folks whilst Des did nothing. The truth of that, I do not know but it was presented to me vehemently as absolute fact.

Similarly, I wish that this appalling, liberal christian would stop pretending to be 'cuddly' and try to understand the Gospel instead of making liberal pronouncements about 'God weeping' when genuine believers are simply trying to stick to God's Word as regards homosexuality.

To claim that Christians should forget the homosexual issue and concentrate on world poverty is disingenuous and illustrates that he preaches a 'social gospel' in character with many social leftists.

To help the poor, deluded chap, here are two points he would do well to learn:

1] Man is not entitled to revise and recategorise God's teaching on what is sin and what is not.
That is simply liberal arrogance.

2] The first duty of the Christian is to preach the Gospel - which means GOOD NEWS. Good news of what? - Well, News of the sacrifice God has made so that we may avoid hell and get to heaven. That should be our priority.

And NO! I haven't said that Christians should not work very hard to help the Third World!

Anti-Christian media bias.

Widespread anti-Christian bias in the media means that groups like The Christian Institute face an “uphill struggle” for fair coverage, says a Sky News journalist.

If he nets more than this, he must throw the surplus fish back or face a huge fine, often far greater than those for more serious criminal offences."

'Knowing things is not education.'

I have never managed to get around the idea found amongst influential educationists - a species which has systematically undermined society - that a child 'possessing knowledge' is not the point of education; that' having a body of known facts' is not the point of education and the 'use of memory' is no significant part of education.

To people outside education this sounds as absurd as it really is.

The book is now a little dated but "All must have prizes" by Melanie Phillips is an eye-opener for those who did not realise that the lunatics had already taken over the asylum and this is not merely an ongoing process.

Your proof that the government is lying.

Inflation still hovering within reach of the 3% mark? - Do you really believe that? - Of course you don't but try telling a government supporter that 'you have noticed a great many price rises personally' and stand back for the bilge you will be given!

No there is a better way - and one which is more subtle and adds to the point you have already made.


Point out that the £2 coin has proliferated in the last year; ask them when they last had a fiver and point out that there are clearly more £20 notes in circulation than £10s. It is very hard to argue against, especially when you list rises in: fuel, food, general groceries, gas, electric, water et al to go with it.

All of this is sure-fire, recent proof of major inflation!

Leaving gaol.

If so many crimes are being committed by youngsters leaving prison, two thoughts come to mind:
1] They do not fear prison and
2] Perhaps they shouldn't have been released so early.
