A short break.

After the rigours of enduring a farcical Ofsted inspection at our school, my good lady and I are fleeing to Iberia for a few days.
New postings will appear from next weekend.

2 inspectors came around for three days; attended a portion of just 13 lessons - often for just a quarter of an hour -, twittered about paperwork, ignored 6 out of the 11 main subjects including Maths - and declared teaching 'good' in ICT which they had not even bothered to visit!
Of course, we did not mind paying out more than 2% of our entire budget to fund this absurdity. As a tiny school - we shall not miss the £6,000! We are not at all resentful that the criteria used on us, if applied to our link comprehensive, would have seen it being charged £65,000.[They were actually charged £000.] Bitter? - Moi?
