If there is one thing - amongst many - which I do not understand about people today, it is the fact that a majority are believers in God, in the most limited of senses, but so few ever stop to ask themselves the basic question "What happens to me if I die today?"
I am prompted to write this after listening into a quite advanced conversation on the matter by two fifteen year old girls having their lunch near where I was on duty. I teach them RS but the issue in the title was of their own discovery.
Too many people who have some untidy belief in God seem to blithely assume that having accepted the likely existence of God is good enough cause in itself to warrant salvation.
These may be added to the countless lost souls who foolishly believe that having your good deeds outweigh the bad will suffice. Neither of these types seems to grasp what Christ did.
He came into the world to save sinners and if we think we are otherwise, we are lost already.
He did not die on a cross so He could show off 'how easily He could come back to life'. No.
His horrific death on the cross was the payment; the punishment for all sin, for all time. We either reject that sacrifice or we admit what we are; sinners and only then can we enter a relationship with Him with the certainty that we shall not end up in hell. He paid the price for us. He took OUR punishment.
Being a Christian does not necessarily make us 'good' - but we are better than what we might have been and forever 'sinners saved by the grace of God'.
Proof? - Of course. When you give yourself to Him fully and without let or hindrance, you can enjoy certainty. God is a reality and not a matter of opinion.

Self explanatory title. I abhor that nicey nicey, politically correct, pseudo-Christianity which almost always supports leftwing attitudes - which in most cases are profoundly anti-Gospel. This Blog supports persecuted Christians. This Blog exposes cults. This Blog opposes junk science. UPDATED DAILY. This is not a forum. This Blog supports truly Christian websites and aids their efforts. It is hardhitting and unashamedly evangelical so if it offends - please do not come to this site!
