Most senior Labour figures either are or have been members of that subtle, devious, underhand group called the Fabian Society. Probably 80% of the population haven't a clue what it is or does.
Set up and named after a Roman General by Sidney & Beatrice Webb towards the end of the 19th century, it had numerous members who, although detached from the real world, always 'knew what was best for it!" Havelock Ellis, GB Shaw, HG Wells, Toynbee et al.
It has been a clandestine force which deplores the nation state and has worked ceaselessly for the EU and globalisation. Even its image is a wolf in sheep's clothing, if you wanted a clue. It does not believe greatly in 'the responsibility of the individual' and has therefore been a major force in the social downturn that we have witnessed in the last half century.
Connected with certain religious groups, it has been a one time home for that oxymoron, christian socialism. It also had links to cults such as theosophy [Annie Besant] and freemasonry.
"Fabianism believes in “the democratic control of society in all its activities.” [Control!] – whereas most people see democracy as based on the freedom and liberty of the individual, Fabian socialism places the emphasis on control of the individual – a sort of “we know what is best” attitude. It sees this as being best achieved through some form of global government, a goal it shares with Communism, (which is also based on centralised control)."

Self explanatory title. I abhor that nicey nicey, politically correct, pseudo-Christianity which almost always supports leftwing attitudes - which in most cases are profoundly anti-Gospel. This Blog supports persecuted Christians. This Blog exposes cults. This Blog opposes junk science. UPDATED DAILY. This is not a forum. This Blog supports truly Christian websites and aids their efforts. It is hardhitting and unashamedly evangelical so if it offends - please do not come to this site!

The Nazi Party WERE socialist.
It has long been considered 'inconvenient' by leftists to point out the extremely socialist roots of the Nazi movement. It was not called National SOCIALISM by accident, nor merely was it a title.
Gregor Strasser, his brother Otto and of course, Josef Goebbels were all fully committed socialists and it would be foolish to overlook the importance of the socialist influences which led to the pact with Stalin in 1938, although to be fair, this did play rather well into Hitler's grand imperialistic designs.
Indeed, it is only in this frighteningly excessive nationalism that Hitler may be seen as being of the right at all. His internal policies were very much of the left and he was despised by many on the traditional right and possibly even by the majority.
Hitler committed few if any atrocities which were not echoed, at least in some measure, by Stalinism.
If you ever have many spare hours on your hands, may I recommend Bullock's "Hitler and Stalin: Parallel Lives". It will give you a perspective on naziism which has seemingly been expunged from so many contemporary political texts.
Wikepedia notes:
Otto Strasser's ideology continues to this day to influence a radical leftist strain of neo-Nazism which clamours for nationalization of industrial ("capitalist") property, and wholesale land redistribution to poor farmers and workers. Amongst those influenced by Strasser have been Nick Griffin, National anarchist founder Troy Southgate and those of the American Strasserite group Folk And Faith.

Newspapers.
The Daily Star is simply not fit for purpose - that is unless you have an old fashioned 'outside lavvie'.
Second worst is clearly The Daily Mirror. It has all the trash of the Daily Star but with a marked tendency to support any nonsense that Labour throws at us and can often be quite politically correct. News coverage is poor and it indulges in excessive hero worship of celebrities.
The Sun is nowhere near as poor as some make out and easily beats The Mirror as it has some news, some sensible editorials but does lose out badly in trying to worship celebrities and enjoys scandals rather too much.
The Express is nowhere as sound a paper as it used to be but has improved out of all recognition from the depths to which it had descended five years ago. Can talk sense. Has Leo McKinstry as a columnist which is extremely positive.
Of what we formerly called the tabloids, The Mail wins hands down. A little too eager to laud the conservatives but has Melanie Phillips and Andrew Alexander as columnists which is a massive plus point. It covers news in more depth than all the rest and is a reasonably good buy if you do not have the time to go through all of the 'posh' press.
Worst of the 'better' papers by many miles is The Guardian {The Observer on Sundays] better known of course as The Grauniad from its many misspellings. There is no leftwing liberal cause which it will fail to espouse. It used to be the paper of the old Liberal Party but now supports Labour unashamedly. It promotes the EU like a child roots for Santa.
It actually believes that political correctness is 'a good thing' and is cursed with the oh-so-silly Polly Toynbee, whose political beliefs are the epitome of naivety.
The Independent isn't. It is trying to rival The Guardian and always enjoys its pro-EU stance and is arguably the most atheistic of all the papers.
Perhaps the most neutral and genuinely independent of this group of papers is The Times. You tend to support its ideas in equal measure to the times you deplore them.
Far away the best newspaper is The Daily Telegraph in terms of sense and quality but regrettably it is the organ of the arch tories and so is somewhat ambivalent in its attitude to the EU.
In my neck of the woods, The Yorkshire Post is a quality paper but gives too little coverage to S. Yorks.
I do a great deal of work with newspapers so I feel qualified to comment. Hope this proves helpful to my readers.

The Jews are a good example.
The Jewish people have never, to my knowledge, advocated multiculturalism. They have simply integrated into our society and have kept that segment of their lives, their jewishness, separate.
It is not offensive nor is it in-your-face. They demand no special treatments, are not hyper-sensitive and do not tell the indigenous how to live, celebrate or worship.
Well done!

Honours.
SIR Michael Parkinson? Honours for Kylie Minogue?
This system is a joke.
What have these people done to earn an honour? They have become famous - nothing more.
In what way have they improved society by one iota?
It should be a very rare exception when somebody gains an honour just for doing their job.

Honours should be granted to: good examples, the selfless, the caring, workers for charity etc.
They should not be awarded to actors, singers, civil servants, politicians, toadies and the wealthy - well not without an alternative reason, anyway.
Einstein.
Albert Einstein wrote in his book "The World As I See It" that the harmony of natural law "Reveals an intelligence of such superiority that, compared with it, all the systematic thinking and acting of human beings is an utterly insignificant reflection." He went on to write, "Everyone who is seriously involved in the pursuit of science becomes convinced that a spirit is manifest in the laws of the Universe--a spirit vastly superior to that of man, and one in the face of which we with our modest powers must feel humble."

Non jobs.
Politically correct 'non-jobs' costing the taxpayer almost £600 million have been advertised in the past year, it emerged this week - all essential of course!
The 15,700 posts were offered by local councils and quangos in the Guardian newspaper's controversial 'Jobzilla' Society section. [Just has to be The Guardian, doesn't it?]
What more needs to be said? - Only that this selection is just ONE year's worth! So how many billions annually do all the current batch of non-jobs actually cost you and me?

Guess!
Guess which two-faced former politician has always coveted the post of President of Europe?
Guess which cynical former politician has now converted to the Church of Rome?
Guess how high the percentage of practising catholics is throughout the EU, particularly in the southernmost countries?
Guess which composer of a hardhitting Blog believes that all the above matters are inextricably interconnected?

Melanie.
Of late it has become de rigueur to blame Israel for the plight of Palestinian Christians. This has always had the smack of the heavily anti-semitic-but-we-are-not-racist left.
It is perhaps better left to the excellent Melanie Phillips to respond:
"Such moral blindness apart, it is truly remarkable that these mindless bigots never pause to ask themselves the obvious question. If it really is Israel that is driving out Bethlehem’s Christians, then why isn’t it equally driving out Bethlehem’s Muslims? Same Israeli ‘occupying’ forces; same separation barrier; same hardship, brutality, economic sanctions etc.' Are we to assume, perhaps, that Israel has a particular problem with Christians, rather than the Muslims or Arabs in general, that the rest of the world has somehow missed?"

Ocean salt wrecks evolutionary timescales.
Dr Jonathan Sarfati points out that many processes bring salts into the sea, while they don’t leave the sea easily. So the saltiness is increasing steadily. Since we can work out how much salt there is in the sea, as well as the rates that salts go into and out of the sea, we should be able to calculate a maximum age for the sea. (Uniformitarian geologists are rather hoisted by their own petard on this one as their own methodology destroys their long age contentions)
Granting the most generous assumptions to evolutionists, Austin and Humphreys calculated that the ocean must be less than 62 million years old. It’s important to stress that this is not the actual age, but a maximum age. That is, this evidence is consistent with ANY age up to 62 million years as we cannot know just how much salt the oceans had in them at the outset.
Evolutionists must be wetting themselves over this one as they rather prefer a date of 14 BILLION+ years for the earth to make their theories hold (sea?) water.

Lisbon - biggest political event since 1945.
An analysis by Prof. Anthony Coughlan a noted LEFTwinger. The new treaty gives the EU the constitutional form of a state. These are the ten most important things the Lisbon Treaty does:-
1. It establishes a legally new European Union in the constitutional form of a supranational European State.
2. It empowers this new European Union to act as a State vis-a-vis other States and its own citizens.
3. It makes us all citizens of this new European Union.
4. To hide the enormity of the change, the same name - European Union - will be kept while the Lisbon Treaty changes fundamentally the legal and constitutional nature of the Union.
5. It creates a Union Parliament for the Union's new citizens.
6. It creates a Cabinet Government of the new Union.
7. It creates a new Union political President.
8. It creates a civil rights code for the new Union's citizens.
9. It makes national Parliaments subordinate to the new Union.
10. It gives the new Union self-empowerment powers.

BE AWARE! If you haven't yet grasped the hidden dangers in points 1 - 8, LOOK at points 9 & 10! Point 10 is the mirror image of Hitler's Enabling Act of the 19th of June 1934 which allowed him to take absolute power and abolish democracy.
Had you really thought that eurorealists were making a lot of fuss over very little?
They weren't. Just because the EU has been more subtle does not mean that it is one whit less dangerous.

Benazir Bhutto.
I deplore the killing of Benazir Bhutto as will all people of good will.
But what has utterly sickened me to my very core in this country is the two-faced pronouncement by Gordon Brown which refers to "cowards afraid of democracy".
Is this meant to be irony or a simple slap in the face to the British public? This is the man, along with his henchman, Miliband, who reneged on the promised referendum because he was afraid of the result.
Hypocrite!

Justice denied?
When my Dad was a police officer in the 50s and early 60s the justice system was better and fairer than today.
If for example, a man was caught breaking into garden sheds, he would be arrested, put into a cell, brought before the next available magistrates court and in all probability would be ensconced in Lincoln Prison in under 72 hours.
In the rare cases where a not guilty plea resulted in a trial, there was some delay built into the process but there was every chance that he would be remanded in custody in any case until the outcome was known, it was only the more serious cases sent to Quarter Sessions [precursor of Crown Court] where delays were of any note and would rarely exceed 12 weeks as a maximum.
There were of course, no endless lines of bureaucratic hurdles to o'er leap.
There was no question of decisions being questioned by a Judge-in-Chambers. It was either an appeal or nothing.
Today of course, that man would almost certainly not go to prison at all. It would be called a 'non-domestic burglary' and guidelines would recommend 'a community penalty'. This decision could easily be delayed by weeks or months. The chances of it being dealt with to finality during the first court appearance would be very slim - being dealt with at an 11th court appearance is by no means unusual!
If there were 'a custody issue' then delays tend to increase. A trial might easily be four or six or eight months or more after the event. I have known MUCH longer!
Once the punishment is detached from the offence by time, clearly, in the mind of the offender the two are no longer connected which is a psychological disaster where deterrence is concerned.
For the persistent offender today - particularly those of lesser intelligence - I would surmise that three quarters of the time there is little or no connection in their minds between the specific offence and disposal.
Justice delayed is justice denied.

My guess.
I wonder what percentage of children throughout the country have had to contribute to the preparations for Christmas?
I am guessing that the number will be extremely small - possibly even tiny.
Even in my day, numbers were not great but there were relatively few mothers with outside jobs. Today, when women have often to be breadwinner, housewife and 'perfect Mum' - it is hardly fair that they should have had to toil unaided throughout the Christmas season. [Have their menfolk contributed to reducing the workload perhaps?]
But if we return to the children - there is something deeply wrong if Mum has had to shoulder a massive burden and they have not even struck stroke.
The absence of contribution in the home from so many little darlings bodes ill in terms of social preparation or preparation for life. Why should youth be a Get-out-of-work-free card?

Have a Blessed Christmas.
Many Christians major on the sacrifice of Christ on the cross as the single most important fact in Christianity.
In this season we are reminded that He, God the Son, left Heaven for our sakes and spent well over 30 years away from His rightful place at the right hand of the Father. Even before His great sacrifice, He had sacrificed more than our minds can grasp for us. This we remember at Christmas.

Sangatte
New Sangatte hostels are being prepared in and around Calais whose effect will be to facilitate the passage of illegal immigrants into the UK.
In addition, Hungary has just granted 600,000 visas to Ukrainians to come into the EU.
This is not a good thing for the EU, but is one more disaster for the UK as the majority are headed straight for here!
They do this because our rules are massively generous and Migration Watch and numerous other bodies have now debunked the myth that these people will help the economy - which has long been the government's ridiculous claim.
It is quite possible that all 600,000 could come here. Imagine the pressure on the social structure as our population increases by 1% in no time at all - and this is BEFORE considering immigration from the EU which is ongoing; failed asylum seekers; failed asylum seekers of whom 100,000 have just been granted the right to live here! [Define 'failed']
That is 100,000 precedents. England is currently the 8th most crowded place on the planet - BUT not for much longer!

Emigration deceits.
Another piece of rank dishonesty from the liberal left came [and comes still] when they have claimed that emigration from the UK has been so great that 'all immigration is doing is to cancel this out'.
Such an argument cannot possibly have been made with integrity. Not only does it wantonly ignore the army of illegals living in our midst but utterly fails to make a valid economic comparison.
Yes, we do steal some qualified Drs, nurses and engineers from Third World Nations which desperately need them but these are few compared to the brain drain of local talent which has never really stopped. Both of these points are peripheral to the main picture however.
The vast majority of immigrants are without skills at all. Some are semi-skilled and a body are craftsmen in the mould of Polish plumbers.
Some of this latter group are useful as our government, unions and captains of industry made foolish decisions 20 years ago regarding CDT in schools and colleges. That damage has to be undone, I suppose.
The real problem - other than the fact that many of our own workshy no longer have jobs 'to pursue', is that so many of these newcomers are generally removing vast amounts of money from the economy immediately and where tax credits across the EU are concerned, this runs into billions annually.
The expats are, by and large, those who have retired to sunnier climes after a lifetime of contributing in the UK - okay, they do take out of the economy to an extent but are surely beyond criticism. They may have taken their 'grey pound' to Spain but at least those who do this are no burden on our state any longer and are not 'rises in unemployment figures waiting to happen'.
The immigration apologists are not comparing like with like.

As taxpayers - We Do Not Begrudge Them!
Documents obtained by The Mail on Sunday show that as Mr Brown's ratings plunged, Ministers were drinking £200 bottles of Bordeaux, the finest champagne and port at £90 a bottle.
The documents reveal for the first time how Ministers are supplied with fine wines from the Government's 40,000-bottle cellar - and how tastings are organised to pick new vintages to keep the stock topped up.

ITMA.
I cannot improve on the piece written by the excellent Peter Hitchens about our abandoning border controls and so here it is:
"It may seem strange to you that this extraordinary abandonment of a simple, effective means of hampering the movements of terrorists and criminals should have taken place just when we are being threatened with identity cards and snooped on by the most advanced system of privacy-breaching surveillance ever to exist outside science fiction. It seems strange to me, too.
But the European Union, now the true government of the territories formerly known as Britain, is utterly dedicated to what it calls 'free movement'. This, in fact, means unfettered immigration, a vast human reservoir of cheap, exploitable labour ready to rush wherever it is needed, to keep wages low, regardless of the effects this may have on human happiness, on settled communities or on those who are sent trudging hither and thither from sweatshop to fruit farm, living in overcrowded slums and separated from their homes and families."
QUITE!

Black underachievement.
In the name of all sanity, which fool thought up the idea of the controversial Black Pupils Achievement Programme, which the Government is piloting in a lame effort to reduce persistent under-achieving among black children?
Was it the same buffoon who came up with that winner, Government-funded school trips which exclude white students?
Perhaps this person is the same one who thinks that having a Black Police Association is a good thing?
I want black pupils to do as well as anybody else but schemes like these simply pour paraffin onto the flames of resentment which are already rife throughout the population. You almost wonder if such schemes are designed to promote disunity.
Sorry but black pupils must do it the same way as Chinese pupils and many Asians do - BY THEIR OWN EFFORTS.
Discrimination to avoid discrimination is NOT joined-up thinking!
The last time I saw a table, white boys were now pretty close to the bottom of racial listings of educational achievements. When they get to the very base, do you suppose groups for specifically white children will be set up? - Of course not. White Police Association? - Sorry. I don't see that one coming either.
Why the double standards?
Remember the BBC, where every minority is now over-represented but they still have an Equal Opportunities Unit, which is not trying to redress what is now a different wrong balance!

Hypocrite.
So the former PM who publicly stated that he would not convert to the Church of Rome has now converted.
I wonder how they feel about taking on board accomplished liars?
So clever of him to wait until after his leadership. Will he now come out and claim that he has always been against abortion, sodomy, contraception embryo research and divorce?
Consider the man's record on these issues.
So which side is doing the compromising here?

MP greed!
Tory & Labour MPs have made a secret deal for MPs to gain a 10%+ salary increase.
With the government lying through its clenched teeth about the rate of inflation, shillyshallying on a tiny portion of police pay, less than inflation increases for all public servants, massively increased tax rates foisted on the population in the last ten years and Labour MPs have the GALL to work for this? - And Cameron's boys seriously believe that this will be a winner with the public?
All I shall say is DO NOT now go and vote Lib Dem in your anger! Cutting noses to spite faces is never a worthy tactic!

Prayer is needed.
I have made my thoughts about Christmas clear. I still welcome family togetherness and the Christmas Communion but of the rest - I want nothing!
Christmas is a busy time but could I urge those readers who become enmeshed in the season to take some time out for important prayer.
In our nation there are growing signs of persecution of Christians but as yet, this is nothing compared to what so many of our brothers and sisters have to face for their faith in so many despotic, islamic and atheistic nations around the world.
Pray for those imprisoned for worshipping the Saviour, those whose very lives are threatened and those targeted for taking out God's Word to the nations.
Remember them. Prayer works. Make their Christmas rather better by committing yourself to pray for these with whom we have such a bond.
The BNP
There is so much to dislike about the BNP but what I find to be equally gut-churning is the so-called 'moral high ground' claimed by all the liberal left whenever the BNP is mentioned. Hissy fits abound.
I can think of countless dreadful things done to the voting population by the liberal left, to which the BNP has made no contribution whatsoever.
The liberal left has had its atrocious own way for so long that we are almost unable to think outside the very narrow parameters which they permit us.
The danger is that in rejecting the liberal left and all of its evil, the tendency for some is to swing wildly across to the BNP as they are its antithesis.
We tend to forget that liberal left governments are extremist because we have become accustomed to them and yet people become horrified that an 'extremist' BNP government could ever occur. Frankly, I do not know which side is the more scary. Probably it is the liberal left as they have the power and exercise it so terribly.
If people wonder why I joined the UK Independence Party, it is because it is not liberal left and lacks the very unpleasant activists which are sometimes found in the BNP.
Furthermore, the BNP tend to want centralised controls and so are closer to socialism than either side would like to admit.

Are they unfairly portrayed by the media? - The answer is 'yes', of course, but it is not so much that I want to see them given a fair crack of the whip but rather I want to see more newspapers than the Daily Mail giving the champagne lefties the trouncing they so richly deserve.
My concern is that when that worm which is the British public finally turns on the liberal left, it will be a total reaction and that they could easily swing to the hard right.
I know of a factory, where a worker has told me that the BNP could even be in the majority NOW.
Hardened Labour voters do not vote tory or lib dem when fed up - initially they do not vote and ultimately they move to the extreme right. Look at voting patterns in France for the clues.

Bob Dylan
In that short span of time when Bob Dylan was 'a Christian with roots in stony ground', he produced a superb gospel album called 'Slow Train Coming'.
In one song there are the words: "You either got faith or you got unbelief - There ain't no neutral ground."
Well. At least he grasped what was going on at that point.
I wonder how many in our nation even know that minimum?

Militant atheists.
Dr Barry Morgan, Archbishop of Wales has denounced 'atheistic fundamentalism' as "dangerous because it will permit NO contrary view and it affects the public perception of religion."
So at least, one leading Church figure has recognised the inherent dangers in these people who invariably hail from the liberal left.
Well done!

Summat for nowt.
If you have not worked to get it - you do not understand. If you have not waited in eager anticipation - you do not appreciate and if you have not fought to achieve - you do not value.
How many of the children I teach each week have learned these lessons? - I do not know with precision but can tell you that it will be very few.
I am speaking here of materialistic things but if they cannot see those matters with clarity, then how can they possibly hope to deal with the nobler concepts?
Children have now long been growing into adults neither recognising , nor understanding, nor appreciating nor valuing the liberties, freedoms, history, traditions and culture which they have inherited. At least two full generations have sat back, taken their ease and permitted our institutions to be endangered by an insidious enemy from within. [Satan was ever arrayed as an angel of light!]
And so when rapacious, quisling, soulless, gutless, uncomprehending politicians determine to cheat us of our national heritage, they do so with pride in their own cleverness and treachery.
They are given free rein by these 'lost generations' who have surrendered to the twin goals of personal advancement and apathy.
They say that 'a nation gets the politicians it deserves' - oh dear. I fear it may well be true.
A really horrible thought!

Campaign For Real Christmas Cards.
Thanks to Andrew at our Church for laying his hands on Christ-inspired cards.
For anybody who has difficulties getting REAL Christmas Cards, the link below is very useful indeed. The cards are reasonably priced and still will result in monies going to Christian charities. Too late for 2007 yes, but a must for 2008.
Let's stop subsidising secular pap!

Indohyus.
Whenever you believe that evolutionary science cannot get any more ridiculous, they come up with another purler - and the lame of brain rush to embrace the wildest of wild theories as fact.
"Scientists have known [???]since Darwin's time that whales, dolphins and porpoises are descended from four-legged hoofed mammals. "
However, "the exact identity of their ancestor has long been a mystery. "
Now American researchers believe they have found the answer. [And what an answer it is!]
They have unearthed the fossilised remains of the mammal, called the Indohyus, in the Kashmir region of India.
It resembles a large rat with deer-like legs and cloven hooves. A study of its ear and skull structure has revealed that it is closely related to the modern-day whale, researchers report today in the journal Nature.
NOW. Look at this dear little chap's picture and then look at a blue whale - the largest living creature on the planet.
The similarity is striking is it not? - [Er, no!]
I wonder how many millions of so-called beneficial mutations it took for the one to become the other. All this against a backcloth of us having precisely NO evidence of any creature EVER gaining new genetic information.
Surely, at some point, those fooled by their early evolutionary education in school must stop, take stock and begin asking some carefully thought out questions? - Mustn't they?

Rats became whales. Okay. I trust you. I was taught evolution as a fact at school so it must be true!
Women in the workplace.
In about 1986 I made the mistake of arguing with my boss about the negative ways youngsters spend their free time. The consequence was that I had to design and implement a survey of 300 fourteen year olds and analyse the results and although I was proved right in my assertions, the time spent on the project was horrendous.
The followup came several years later when, as Head of a large comprehensive Careers Department, I had to do an analysis of local employers' attitudes about 'unfairness to women in the workplace'.{Never, ever do something well or you just get more to do!}
This time-consuming exercise showed that women's pay levels were lower and promotion opportunities were indeed limited BUT it was the 'why' which was important.
The difference was NOT as claimed by some, that it was because of 'sexist attitudes'. No, it was pure pragmatism which emerged as the key. Unsurprising, really.
Women were on lesser levels purely because of their 'interrupted career patterns'. A man and woman might start together as equals but if the woman after five years takes out five years to have children or even drops to part time levels for that period, it is difficult to see how she can ever catch up with the colleague whose career pattern has been continuous.
It certainly seemed in S. Yorks, in our school's catchment area, that career orientated women who did not take time off for families would do as well as their male colleagues for salaries and promotions.
Since then, well-meaning legislation to protect women has been put in place which has actually made employers more mistrustful of them.
The 'law of unintended consequences' strikes again! Trouble is that when the effect is negative, the next step by the politically correct is to demand 'equality of outcome' - which is inevitably unfair.
I once lost a promotion which I had earned and a senior staff member warned me on the quiet that 'a woman would be appointed' irrespective of all other issues. Reverse sexism is just as bad as any other.
Resentful - moi?
29/12/07. Against the backcloth described above, this link probably shows that sexism is not the issue claimed, as some 40% of women earn more than husbands. Probably what it should be as a level when taking those 'interrupted careers' into account.

Nick Clegg
So Nick Clegg, the soft-round-the-edges leader of the appalling Liberal Democrats, is an atheist.
I wonder how many Christian Lib Dem voters will no longer feel able to vote for what is now the most leftwing of the 3 major parties?
I suppose you could argue that at least he has been more honest than many other politicians - but I am afraid that that cuts little ice with me.
Oooops. He forgot to mention it BEFORE the voting! - Probably a genuine oversight on his part.

Stuck for a Christmas present?
If you need a Christmas present why not 'The Unassuming Assassin' which can be ordered through Amazon or direct from me at £9-99, delivery included.
It is set in Sheffield and Scunthorpe and is a lurid and original tale of vigilanteism and revenge set against a political and psychological backcloth. Well reviewed in The Sheffield Star and on local radio, it has twists and originality but is also an ordinary man's spiritual odyssey. The ideal gift for people you might want to know the Gospel but who would never dream of reading a Christian book.
Perfect for anybody who likes thrillers filled with gore, love, passion and intrigue.

Tell 'em Bish!
The Rt Rev Carl Cooper, Bishop of St Davids in Pembrokeshire, used his Christmas message to ask if there was any point commemorating this time of year if the birth of Christ were overlooked.
GOOD POINT! One in the eye for the odious and ludicrous PC councils who are offering 'winter festivals'.
He said "I urge schools, local authorities and other public bodies to bring Jesus back into Christmas."-

Charles Clarke.
Former Home Secretary Charles Clarke claimed MPs were "appalled" by the Prime Minister's language about "British jobs for British workers".
It is appalling isn't it? Let me see. Which Labour epithet of scorn and derision should be lent to such a plan? - Elitist? Racist? UKist? - What a disgrace to suggest that British politicians should be on the side of the British people! Utterly shameful!
But seriously, Charlie-boy, you didn't actually believe him did you?
Polystrate fossils destroy evolution.
Polystrate fossils, typically trees [often with branches still intact], cut through multiple layers of rock. In the most significant cases, the rock may cover a claimed 400 million years of gradual deposits.
These are simply an unanswerable destruction of uniformitarian, long age geology.
Geologists lamely claim that these fossils are 'aberrations' or 'extremely rare'.
Even if the latter were true - so what? - The case has already been lost.
They are also found in coal deposits which are 'millions of years old' and are especially dangerous in coal mines where they have a tendency to plunge suddenly down into excavated chambers without warning. In mines they are known as 'plugs' according to a mining engineer of my acquaintance.
THINK about it. A tree stands up straight for millions of years and does not rot or fall but simpy awaits the covering of its higher portions by gradual deposition.
Piffle! Sudden catastrophic events - giant floods for example - are the ONLY viable explanation.

Persecution in Pakistan.
Pakistan's blasphemy laws -- especially the notorious Section 295(c) of the Penal Code -- are often used against religious minorities to settle personal scores. So the number of Christians charged is disproportionate.
Under a 1990 ruling, a guilty verdict should mean the death penalty: in practice, there have been no official executions for blasphemy to date. Courts have tended to give a life sentence, though it is often reduced on appeal.
[Information from Release International.]
You will not find a great deal about this on the website of Amnesty. They seem to me to be extremely selective about whom they seriously attack.

Embryos Bill.
Labour MPs have a free vote on their government's Human Fertilisation and Embryology bill.
Few Christians will in conscience, be able to support this measure.
Write today to your MP at The House of Commons, Westminster.

Pensions
I do not often utter words of solace to tories but it is clear that Margaret Thatcher appears to have had a rather worse press than she deserved.
She was blamed for her government's attitude to old age pensions after it cut the link to average wages but interestingly, in her day this ran at 24.4% of the average weekly wage.
After 10 years of 'compassionate' Labour, the figure is a mere 15.9%.
Hmm! I suppose that if you waste the nation's money on: the EU, quangos, bureaucracy, wars, the indolent, the undeserving, Domes and nutty projects, you cannot afford to improve the poorest old age pensions in W. Europe at the same time.
Pensioners, please be aware. This is not personal. It is all about priorities and for Labour - you aren't one!

The Chief Rabbi.
Britain is losing its identity because of over-zealous political correctness and a failure to deal with immigration, the Chief Rabbi has warned.
Sir Jonathan Sacks said that the drive for a multicultural society had left Britain increasingly intolerant and that too many people were embarrassed about their history
In an interview with The Sunday Telegraph, he stressed that the historic Union with Scotland and the concept of Britain must be preserved.
I could not have put it better myself! An integrated society may work - a multicultural one cannot. The similarity of multiculturalism - in the theory at least - bears a remarkable similarity to "separate development" which was also known as apartheid.
The liberal left would argue that one society was compulsory and one not.
Okay. When were you asked about the leftwing destruction of your nation and its culture?

Christmas - the most awful time of the year.
Christmastide nearly drives me out of my tree. I despise the commercialisation; those who celebrate what they do not believe and statements such as "Well, it's just for the kids really, innit?"
I hate Christmas TV, tatty gifts for the sake of it, the expense, the calories and sending cards to people you see every day [?].
I do not like the decorations, false bonhomie and above all, I detest Santa and all his ruddy elves! Rudolph and co would all look better as the contents of a good burger.
I do not like snowmen pictures, limiting the love of robins to a single season, sickly Dickensian scenes and pagan symbolism and piped Christmas songs in supermarkets designed to be over-honeyed and sentimental.
I do not like romanticised portrayals of the Nativity in a spotless, sanitised stable.
I try to ignore it all as best as I can.
Family gatherings have been good in the past and I trust our children discovered the true meaning of Christmas in their younger days.
Tonight, I look forward to the Carol Service at Rother Valley Church and only the Communion on Christmas Day itself has anything to offer.
Remember. The Lord of all Creation, God the Son, took on human flesh in order to be our example, teacher and eventually to die for us.
As a child I once won a cup in a public speaking competition entitled "Have we lost the spirit of Christmas?' - The answer then was 'yes' and we have deteriorated greatly from 40 years ago as a society.
Food shortages
Somebody recently stated: "Britain is no longer in a position to prepare for food shortages: all power to do so has been surrendered to Brussels, which has no policy on the matter."
I do not believe this. They DO have a policy. They want us to be utterly dependent.
In World War Two, we struggled to feed the nation with only paltry amounts of food brought in by our brave merchantmen.
If we were ever to find ourselves on a war footing again, where would the food come from? Pro-EU governments have systematically dismantled our abilities to feed our nation at the behest of our Masters in Brussels.
'But there won't be more wars', they declare naively, as if being part of an empire protects you.
If you know any history of empires, look at these and note how wars and rebellions break out in every one, even the more brutal ones. They are typically about rights of self determination.
Well. Over 70% of our laws come onto the statute books, on the nod, direct from Brussels.
Worried yet?

Rape.
Sadly, the feminist movement, brains and mouths frequently not connected, has been directly responsible for the deplorable state of convictions for rape.
With only some 7% [that is SEVEN per cent] of rapes leading to convictions, we have to ask why this is the case.
Feminist interference at the political level has put juries on the spot.
The victim has anonymity - the accused has not. Feminists categorically refuse to differentiate between different types of rape. Feminists have demanded that convictions should be made easier to achieve and have blithely ignored the large numbers of false accusations which are made, frequently without penalty.
Juries therefore will tend not to convict unless the evidence goes well beyond he said/she said.
Feminists insist that marital rape is just the same as a prowler who lurks in the park. They are badly wrong.
Solutions?
1] Marital rape does not have the degree of negative connotations of rape by stranger. The offence should be one of 'unlawful intercourse'and carry equivalent penalties to other domestic violence - typically the same as ABH.Custody would be likely. [This would of course not include situations where separations are in place.]
2] A special offence should be created with similar penalties for those who take advantage of those who have abused drugs or alcohol. It is almost impossible to ascertain whether consent was given and how much value should be put onto this.
3] Those who use Rohipnol to lower the guard of targets should receive a mandatory minimum of five years.
4] Anybody with more than one conviction from the above list should face the lengthy sentences below.
5] Stranger rape with threats should have a mandatory minimum of fifteen years and this must rise to twenty five where violence is used. Two such rapes should result in life imprisonment without expectation of parole.

Futalognkosaurus Dukei
The bones of the largest dinosaur ever found have been discovered in Patagonia. The Futalognkosaurus Dukei stood around 105 feet high - try to get your mind around that!
Alexander Kellner, a researcher with the National Museum in Rio de Janeiro, commented:
"The accumulation of fish and leaf fossils, as well as other dinosaurs around the find, is just something fantastic. Leaves and dinosaurs together is a great rarity. It's like a whole lost world for us."
Okay.
John Mackay comments:
Have these scientists considered the size and ferocity of the flood required to wash a 105 ft tall dinosaur into a river, or that leaves tend to float on the surface of water and rot, rather than be preserved? The size of this dinosaur, plus the fossils of fish, leaves and other dinosaurs indicates this fossil bed was formed by a rapid catastrophic flood that was so vast it swept up land plants and animals and washed them out to sea where they were mixed up with fish and masses of sediments, then dumped and rapidly and deeply buried. This kind of catastrophic event is exactly what you find if the world was destroyed by a world wide, continent-covering flood.
THINK dear reader. Just how long do dead animals wait around in order to fossilise slowly? - They do not.
The very existence of fossils in the first place denotes catastrophism and rapid covering of the dead creature, typically by flood or volcanic ash.

Poles apart.
My spy tells me of a local firm where, in less than two years Poles have become about one third of the entire workforce.
They are cheap, non-union and tremendous workers. Who could blame the Poles for bettering themselves? Who could blame the firm for capitalising? - Certainly not me.
I can blame the EU for permitting this undesirable situation! I can blame successive governments for overseeing this disaster in the making. I can blame politicians who lied to the electorate get us into the EU in the first place. I can blame trade unions which do not support the interests of their members against foreign invaders.
All of this means that that section of our comnmunity who never work are safe. They will now never have to and will be able to continue their parasitical behaviour.
I hope all of you taxpayers out there do not mind footing the bill and watching the systematic dismantling of the social structure.
