I have previously pointed out that although I am a royalist - I am rather lukewarm about it all.I enjoy: the traditions, the history, the pageantry and the principle that our Head of State should be from outside the political system.
I see no possibility other than some bog standard celebrity being elected were we ever to change. I think that would send me totally bonkers!
If the royals are to survive, however - there must be gravitas and dignity.
That will not be found as long as the appalling and long spoiled Prince Andrew remains in post.
