Boundaries?

I've just been listening to the steam radio and a librarian has just been on pontificating about how 'literature pushes back the boundaries' as if this be some sort of virtue.
Almost every example of this in my lifetime has been kowtowing to the forces of: anarchy and the left; moral degeneracy; loss of social values and encouragement to undermine all that is sound, reasonable, democratic and decent.
How often this means permitting blasphemy, foulness, sick attitudes - but only against Christianity, naturally enough - all other religions are permitted protection!
