This now gives me the appearance of being rightwing. I am quite satisfied to be thought 'right of centre', if only because, intellectually, I have always rejected the spurious and unproven claims of the traditional left.
Today - we have a different target which is broadly described as 'the liberal left' or alternatively, 'the authoritarian left'.
The 'hard right' will always be the target of this Blog in equal measure.
The upshot of all this is that UKIP is the only place where I can find a home. Happily, that party seems to be moving away from its 'all things to all men provided that they are anti-EU' pitch. It is now settling comfortably into the ground vacated by the tories.
