Why do we not just accept that some people are not fit to share the same society as decent people? Time is long overdue for that American idea of 'three strikes and you're out' to be implemented here in the UK.
Removing the unrepentant offenders from our midst would see crime rates plummet and have a rathe nice deterrent effect on those who are not quite as bad but who are moving in that direction.
Before anyone suggests 'community penalties', may I remind readers that:
a) These are weak and do not work at all on such offenders.
b) They will already have had a huge number of such disposals and
c) Such penalties only ever work on those who WANT to be reformed.
