Iceland’s centre-right Independence and Progressive parties have
emerged as the winners of Saturday’s parliamentary elections, with each winning
19 seats in the 63 seat parliament, ending four years of a centre-left
coalition. Both parties oppose Iceland’s membership of the euro and the
