| I have just learned of the death of the greatest of all French chanteurs. I went to Paris 4 years ago just to see him in concert. He wrote for Piaf and his best work was certainly in his earliest recordings. If you are unfamiliar - may I suggest a search online for the Live at Bobino album which captures so much of the man's wit, talent and panache. |
