Violence On TV MUST Reduce!

I have watched a number of dramas, serials and films on TV of late.
I enjoy a 'good meaty drama' and am not bothered unduly by the violence shown and can see why the directors claim that they are 'seeking reality' - even though I really do not see why more subtlety could not be employed.
I am not the problem here. The majority of sensible adults are no problem either.
But what about impressionable children seeing: The Borgias, Hell on Wheels, The Following, Wire In The Blood, Wallender, Luther, Trial & Retribution, The Vice et al? Films like Unforgiven?
What about the mentally ill and those with borderline personality disorders? Do we really want them all getting 'how to' ideas from the goggle box?
