The Chief Constable Of Durham has recently called for class A
drugs to be decriminalised.
The usual argument is that 'it removes power from the
hands of criminals'.
Great theory except for the small detail - that it
doesn't work.
It has been tried in assorted places around the world
- and has always been deemed a failure!
Even if it were to succeed in cutting crime - which is not impossible - do we really want to risk doubling, trebling or maybe even quadrupling the number of addicts?
If we are serious about tackling illegal drugs - penalties for users must increase significantly. Penalties for minor dealers must result in serious prison time. The major importers should be dealt with in the Singapore fashion.
THIS is the experiment we should be trying!
Self explanatory title. I abhor that nicey nicey, politically correct, pseudo-Christianity which almost always supports leftwing attitudes - which in most cases are profoundly anti-Gospel. This Blog supports persecuted Christians. This Blog exposes cults. This Blog opposes junk science. UPDATED DAILY. This is not a forum. This Blog supports truly Christian websites and aids their efforts. It is hardhitting and unashamedly evangelical so if it offends - please do not come to this site!
